For over two hours, every attempt to open the General Subjects Forum for Mass Effect 2 has been blocked, and the idiotic message about not having permission to access it is being shown, instead of the index page.  Since it's an "open" forum, accessible to ANYONE, that is a FALSE error message. 

During that time frame, the description of the forum, the count of message threads, and the summary of the newest addition to the forum has not changed in any regard, which would seem to indicate that NO ONE at all is able to access that forum this morning. 

P. S. (in edit a couple of weeks later) Eventually, the specific forum afflicted did clear up, but the same thing happened elsewhere for a couple of days, maybe longer.  The past week or so, it hasn't happened often at all, although today something very similar popped up to block my own personal access to the Edit function in one forum here.

I really suspect that everyone probably is, and just haven't come by here to add comments to this since it went into the toilet.  (Edited: OK, at the fourth hour point, it's accessible again.)

This morning, it wasn't the Mass Effect 2 General, it was the Dragon Age Tech Forum that was lying about whether I could have access or not, for the first half dozen tries or so. As can be seen, my profile is adequately updated, and has been, for 11 months -- this was caused by something else.

It happens at random for all the forums, as far as I can tell, but unfortunately I can't see if there is a pattern to it.

The frequency with which it kept happening dropped off, but it's back again today.  I saw that my article / thread about video card shader performance in the Mass Effect 2 User to User Tech Forum was out of date, and just tried to edit it, getting tha error messge that I'm not allowed to perform the edit, after initially opening the edit window. 

Stupid programming.

P. S.  I opened the original article in a new browser window and pasted in the contents of the composition window from my initial edit, and now I have a multitude of iniotic line breaks added!
