I've seen more extreme differences in height between real life couples than this. And they get along just fine.

You know, that's the best news I had about DA2 so far. The arms looked so bad, it was damn difficult for me to take any dwarf seriously.

I agree with you, I was just pointing out the flaw in Ortaya's reasoning.

Personally I found the proportions fine and not freakish at all. At least I never noticed.

Arms aren't the only thing about a person, and a character like Sigrun is still cute and awesome despite a bad body model. The vanilla female models for all races were pretty awful across the board though.

Also, there's a mod for that! You know, so they don't look like they're made up of pieces of different races xD

Okay, seeing these two images side by side, now I see the whole gorilla arms thing.

And I agree. Many of the female models in Origins were a bit shoddy.

Yeah, the default dwarf model looks like someone stuck a human in some sort of compactor but left out the arms and didn't leave the legs in as long. I'm glad there's an improvement in body models because sheesh, they're all bad.

Hmm, looks much better. Not that I'll make an effort to find and install the mod, as it's not big enough a deal to me. The arms were ridiculously long, but it didn't stop me from creating dwarven wardens and enjoying them. My guess -and a loose one it was- was based on numerous posts I came across on the forum. Still, I'm happy they'll get fixed in DA2 (if they will, that is). I play on PC, but there are plenty of console players out there as well.

She seems to have a verry distinctly dwarfish figure. Look again.

Why would they give her a build like that?

I dont see anything about her that points to her not being a dwarf.
I like short girls. I get that. But the first thing I thought of when I saw her was "dwarf? wha?.... Ok then."

EDIT:
more evidence for her being a dwarf is that the highest rated comment on that trailer is "thumbs up if you think that, this pirate girl of hawke's is looking worse than that monster with horns:P"

Now, why would they have hawke kissing a fugly human?

EDIT:
Again. Its not specifically her size that has me thinking this, as they could have increased the size to make a romance more plausable or apealing.
Its her manly jaw that has me thinking dwarf.
