Varric is not confirmed and if you disagree without any proper told reasons, then do not post. Thank you.

Varric: "And then Hawke put her back out."yukidama wrote...
If Hawke puts out his or her back just bending, not sure they should be fighting battles on the first place...
Cassandra: "What? Why?"
Varric: "She was bending over to kiss me and... one thing led to another."
Cassandra: "...."
Varric: *sigh* "Really was a shame. It's much easier to kiss her when she's confined to a bed, though. Always look on the positive side."

I rarely agree with topics, however I try to retain intelligent discussion, which you have not by barging in and leaving an incoherent reply.

I'm eons late in replying, but that's a really beautiful pic:wub:PureMethodActor wrote...
I'm a little hesitant because I made her overall head look very feminine (and not boxy at all like some dwarf heads), and as a result some of these people who think dwarves look like children may mistake my Aeducan for looking like one whereas she has a more regal, pretty face. But hey, if you're fighting a war, can't do it without guns, right? I gotta put something on the line. I'll share my female Aeducan than (warning, these are from digital camera shots to a TV, so quality isn't as good as from PC screenshots):
Name: Sundira Aeducan
class: Rogue
Specializations: Duelist, Legionnaire Scout
Romance: Alistair
Armor: Wades Dragonskin Armor set
Weapons used: Dwarven Longsword(silverite), daggers of various kinds, Saw Sword(silverite), Kallak, Vigilance(unfortunately with the "starfang" awakening glitch, which I don't care much about)
*snips*
I'm not sure why I uploaded both the bodyshot from the profile and the one from one of my digital camera uploads. I guess the different lighting can help one notice different things.
The above is one of my favorite images in the game, with darkspawn surrounding the warden in Awakening, and the Warden knowing this and slowly looking up and then eventually around.
Anyway I picked the best pics I could, and they're mainly from the bioware site itself. I personally don't think she looks like a child at all, as woman can very well have those features. If anyone else wants to argue otherwise, then whatever, its their viewpoint.

Because the roles switched at the start...usually the male is behind, but if you play an elf she's behind. And you can tell the height diffrence. Just looked...arkward.

Yeah that role switch thing seriously creeped me out...and the magic height growth.

My DAO dwarves are loved by their human boys and girls not despite the fact they are short but because the humans like the short dwarven charm.

I don't get why some dislike the woman being taller than the man, dwarf or elven guy and human female for example. All three races still have their own charm so why not? And as always breaking some sterotypes is fun just because it's fun to break stereotypes. We should realy think outside the human box when talking about dwarven and elven LI.

I'm sorry to say but if someone is really short, the first thing that springs to mind is that their a child, I don't know why that comes to mind. Mainly because I associate the height as children.
Lord of the rings twin towers, Aragorn talks about Frodo and Sam to the kings nephew asking if they've seen him. He described them as "They would be children to your eyes".

For what's worth, the dwarves in DA have essentially proportions of "7 head" human figure while humans/elves follow the "8 heads" model. That results in the height difference we experience in game, but all of them would be considered proportionally built humans in viewed on their own.Pseudocognition wrote...
This loosely demonstrates how you can measure the height of a character in heads, which is how most character artists do it. Humans are 6-7 heads tall, I'm sure dwarves are at least a head or two shorter than that.

I don't know about 7 heads, maybe 6, but you're right about humans having a less realistic and more heroic stature.

Not at all. A dwarf in DAO definitely have distinct, typical and adult female or male features. There are much more to these characters than their height.Ayanko wrote...

Please don't take this as a insult or flamebait, but you should try to look behind that rather limiting opinion. Humans that are shorter than most humans are sometimes, though far from as a rule, children. Dwarves are shorter than humans but that doesn't make them human children like. You can't use human standards for dwarves, they need to apreciated for what they are: short and wide.
I don't realy see why hobbits are something to compare with. DAO and Tolkien dwarves are a very different race in many ways. No one misstakes them for being like children.

I guess your right, but it all depends on what sort of person you are. Some people aren't comfortable with romancing someone where the height roles are diffrent. I'm a woman for instance, and I Don't find men who are smaller than me attractive. I don't know why, it just is. I hear the same thing goes for men aswell, some dislike women being taller than them.

Yup, it's 7. nearly 7.5 for that matterPseudocognition wrote...

(this version has shortened arms than the default obviously, but the body proportions otherwise are very much the same)

Thanks for finding that, that's very interesting. So everything is generally skewed by the heroic "normal" proportion. Makes sense.
Looks like us mere humans are too short to be DA humans!
Edit: it came out to 6.75/7 when I divided it up. But it really doesn't matter. Thanks again for finding the pic.

Fair enough, different taste and all that. But let's wait and see if there are any dwarven LI in DA2 that can charm us despite height differences. The same goes for elves by the way, I personaly never saw much attractiveness in them, But I would be happy to be proven wrong about elves in DA2. I can assure you that many of us guys love girls that are taller than us!Ayanko wrote...
