Don't wanna romance a dwarf, don't hit on the dwarf. Really, it's that easy.

I just wanna break a lot of 3/4 size hearts. B)

well, i've always been of the opinion, that what dwarves lack in height, they make up for in heart, so to me a dwarven heart is actually 1,5 x normal size!

You're expecting logic and reason. That's asking far too much, even from the Bioware fanbase.

So.... have we gone from arguing for Dwarven romances to arguing whether or not we want a female or male LI?

I'm personally rooting for a female LI, though we should probably stop fighting amongst ourselves for a little while and at least wait for a response from Bioware denying/confirming a dwarf romance.

THEN we can split into two different threads and argue about whether or not we want a man or a woman.

LI options are always limited. Give one type and there's no room for another type. But BioWare has proven they don't only include what the majority might want (except for the fact that Hawke must be human now). If we are given a dwarf romance I'd rather it be a female dwarf for multiple reasons (one of those being my female PCs having taller options for themselves).

A former noble-hunter who gave birth to a daughter and everything went downhill from there on. I'd like to see that.

Someone's tastes get ignored anyhow, no matter what type of romance options there will be.
It is much more healthier to be open for all options, rather than be violently against short  people or stereotypical elves.

All the better to discuss what one hopes to get, not what should never-ever be implemented.

Not if you ask the guy from the old BioBoards who got surprise sexed by Zevran :o  Though that, I think, is more a case of poor reading comprehension skills than anything else.

Leaving aside the issue of Hawke's race, I agree.  If nothing else, Mass Effect 2 proved that BioWare is willing to go fairly niche with their romances.  Garrus, Tali, and Thane have turned out to be quite popular among their fanbase, but they couldn't really have predicted how popular, and those romances with more alien party members were probably intended for a minority of folks.

The ME 2 team even included an easter egg for a tiny fraction of Thane fans. We felt so loved. Image IPB

I am still very appreciative of David Gaider finally giving us an elf male LI. Even if he "doesn't really count" because he's not very stereotypically elfish.

Zevran is a sexy piece of Antivan elf man-beast.  I'll take it! :o

Honestly, I feel like no romance in DA2 could be quite as "out there" as some of the alien romances from ME2.  As far as we know, all of the DA2 races are levo-based mammalian primates.  None of them have blue blood or green skin or leg spurs or live in suits.

Also, don't anyone dare talk trash about the alien love interests in ME2. They were wonderful. Alien love 4EVA.
