People are posting these pictures to illustrate that women (that would be about the height of a dwarf in DA) do not look like children. There are plenty of women that are 5' and under in the mainstream media and they are seen as the adults they are, not kids.

I dislike being labeled as having no sense of humour when disagreeing with others, like now with where the topic is going. People just don't have to like everything!

Also, pedophilia and lolita hentai are exploitative. They focus on and sexualize kids, who have no real concept of sex or consent. Isn't it YOUR problem that you see children in dwarves? Some people do, some people don't.

The fullness and roundness of the cheek and mandible, the curved philtrum, how their mesiolabel folds is very shallow "compared to other races" all of this are considered facial characteristics of children.

I personally have not done a dwarf romance yet, but I'd like it as an option in DA2, diversity is always cool!

I think I didn't make myself sufficiently clear.
While the body is a problem (the curves are great, but they're too big boned) the real problem
for me are the facial features. Aside from the character's personality,
a pretty face is what I look for in LIs. And dwarf faces do not cut it,
not even remotely.
Instead, I am an elf admirer. You know why?
Because elven girls are short (and I love short girls) and waaaaaaaaaay
more likely to be pretty. Best of both worlds. I can see why people
would dislike them for their skinny physique: it lacks sensual
elements. But this is a game, and so I don't need to feel any kind of
sexual attraction to them. Instead, I romantically admire them for
their graceful, ethereal figures.

Synopsis:
In my eyes, dwarves are inelegible for romance because
A) Their facial features are ugly.

Their physique does not fit my romantic ideal of a woman. With
"romantic" I mean an ideal where sexual attraction does not come into
play.

I am willing to clarify my thoughts further in case of misunderstandings or disagreement.

Actually you do make some valid points...some of them are the reason I haven't played a dwarf romance yet. When I got the game I, being the shallow person I am, among all three races I loaded up the preset with the prettiest faced char without caring what race she was.

But I think the main reason for dwarf ladies looking crappy in dragon age might be because the limitations of the character creator didn't let us make beautiful faces, and there were some massive problems in dwarf proportions (without tmp's proportion fix I cringe at the huge hands<_<). But now with my modded dwarf females I'm willing to give the romance a go with my new sexy dwarf

P.S. However....I don't think calling humans boring trying to prove dwarves rock (which we all know, no need to snap at human/elf lovers) will help, it might start another war.
