Interesting set! Will definitely consider buying, although I'm still holding out for an Illusive Man mini.

Seeing the ad for the Sarren/Garus mini litho pack was the first time I'd actually seen the Saren litho. I guess at least I know now that I'm definitely passing on this set. I understand its larger twin is a rare print, but I'm just not impressed. Bummer =(

I thought that the original Saren litho was a head shot of him and looked more like a screen shot. Ive never seen that image before that their showing. *shrugs* It looks ok but is too pastel, cartoonish for my taste.  Is that Cpt. Anderson in the background?

Just got my first set in...oh yeah, I live all of 15 minutes away from where they were shipped from (80019 to 80015). Anywho, figured I'd show a size comparison.

I was worried that they were going to lose alot of quality due to the size difference, but they look fantastic. I cant be sure how they compare to the originals until they release the Citadel, Afterlife or Collectors, but I'm happy with the purchase.

Ah that's actually quite lovely. I'm going to order all 4 mini lithographs this weekend then. Thanks for the comparison shots.

Just got mine in. The packing method sucks. Both my litho's are bent. Not sure if I can un-bend them. Bioware store, figure this out for crying out loud

No Styrofoam, the lithos are taped to the inside of the cardboard. The cardboard is the usual clam shell fold over job. The cardboard took impact, and the exact damage on the cardboard was transferred to the lithos. I cant unbend the damage as its creased the paper. If there was styrofoam, it would have been fine. Oh well, I had a great damage free run, my time was due....

I can't imagine having to replace so many orders is less costly than actually packing the items correctly in the first place. It seems like they are trying to ship for as cheap as possible and just hoping USPS will be careful (which is just an absurd notion, as all of us longtime USPS users will know).

I agree with you 100%.  Fortunately this is my first damaged order, but I am scratching my head in confusion as to why it hasent been fixed.  Im fairly vcertain that paying an extra $4 to cover the cost of better packing supplies would be acceptable to most people if it provided greater security.  But as it is, taping the lithos to inside of fairly thin piece cardboard with no buffer at all is about as amateur as it gets.  A fix is long overdue.  get it done.

On a semi related note, my friends mom mailed him an original press Beatles white album record.  She even wrote do not bend on it.  The mailman folded the record in half,  snapping it so he could shove it into the mail box.  The force required to break a record, not to mention the sound of it breaking....Thats the USPS for you

the packaging method was pretty crappy, and it's not hard to believe other people would get damage. They were on two sides of a cardboard sheet, in a plastic bag which was taped on the inside of the cardboard "box". By the time it got to my house, the tape had already snapped off. Again, I live a few blocks away from where they were sent, so mine weren't damaged.

as a USPS employee I kindly ask that you not lump us all together sadly there are a lot of lazy or just flat out bad postal carriers but that can be said about any job unfortunetly the union makes it difficult for managers to get rid of these people unless they actually cost the postal service money if the record was insured the carrier will certainly be hearing about it and have disciplinary action taken against them (unless the post master is even worse than the carrier) if it wasn't insured they'll still probably get a talking to but that's probably about it.  As far as the lithos go they postal employees have no idea what is inside the boxes are not marked in any way that the item is fragile or should not be bent (though the size of the box should give that away) so they aren't technically doing anything wrong (sadly)

Personally the only time I fold or bend anything is if I can feel that it is cloth material inside thus I know it isn't going to damage anything.  If the item is at all rigid it goes to the door typically wrapped in a garbage bag incase of rain.  If it's in a box I wouldn't even think of trying to bend it..

I'm not saying that every USPS employee sucks, but it sure seems like most of them do.

No, I realize that there are bad apples in every bunch, regardless. Not implying that all of them are bad. That said, the post office on pine street in san francisco california can go f_ck themselves :)

i think the foam was best. maybe a few~ mishaps but not as much as these methods.

My mini's got delivered today. Omega in particular is beautiful. It really made me wish I had the larger version.

I received my mini-lithos yesterday, and they look great. While I agree the shipping method is somewhat questionable. They did arrive undamaged thankfully. Like Duke, I live rather close to where they ship everything from.

maybe because we constantly ask to have the shipping fees lowered?

I'm paying more in shipping costs than the actual items. I'm happy to pay even more shipping costs if it means they arrive undamaged. I've been very lucky, I'm in Australia so they have a fair way to travel, and only had bent corners at worse. Still I think the foam was the better shipping. All they need to really do is use the closed box but add the foam into it and it would be perfect I would think.

Just because you asked

The cardboard sheet was inbetween the two lithos, which were both facing outwards. They were then put into the bag, which was scotch taped to the inside of the cardboard box. The scotch tape didn't hold, even at the few short miles between my home and the warehouse.

wut? People have been saying for months that they would much rather pay a little more for a better method.
