All great ideas! As was mentioned though, quality is paramount. Stuff like fully embroidered patches (definitely not the silkscreen kind), embossed or cast metal keychains, leather wallets etc. would be awesome.

And more SR1/SR2 gear as well!

What about cast metal or enamelled Paragon/Renegade/N7 metal pin badges? The logos lend themselves to lots of different applications.

Nothing on that list is something I would buy personally, but I can understand why a lot of people would. Personally, I'd love some shot glasses.

Some things resonated really well in my mind while others didnt at all:

Good things include the N7Wallet/Money Clip, the messenger/laptop bags, and the track jacket.  The wallet would just be great, assuming there made out of decent material - I'm not going to buy a polyester/velcro wallet.  Also, I can see a messenger/Laptop bag working out assuming its reserved - not overly 'tricked-out' like the shepard backpack concept...maybe just a simple black layout with a grey N7 logo and MAYBE a red/white stripe on one side.  Then, the track jacket appeals to me personally since I've had a nice windbreaker for a long time...i need a new one but i really like the one i have...except its theme is the Chicago Bulls - and I've never really liked or followed basketball, so i dont know why I even own it - but it would have a similar color scheme to a N7 themed jacket...so yeah, I'd definitely pick it up.

The not so great things in my mind include the football jersey, thermals, and patches.  The only time where I've seen the jersey concept working when its themed for something other than football is when there is some humor behind it...like maybe "Waterboy 00" or maybe "Gilmore", from the films staring Adam Sandler - its comedic, and its sport related...but tryin to get a jersey relating to Shepard just sounds stupid to me.  Thermals - if its cold enough to wear thermals, I'm probably going to wear something over the thermal furthering the warming process, thus covering up any N7 theme that may exist on the thermal...doesn't make sense, but thats just me.  Patches - Might be good for the youthful consumers, but i just think it to be a bit juvenile for me personally...and afterall, the Bioware Store is marketing "M" 17+ themed material...

SR2 Hat - We are currently working on one that will look exactly like Jokers. This is a custom hat so it'll likely be Dec/Jan



We'll look into Velcro backing on patches - Great idea



We have shot glasses on the list. Likely and N7 or Cerberus for ME2 and Lyrium in blue for DAO

I would follow up on those items and purchase depending on how well they come out + pricing.

For the N7 wallet, I'm not sure if you mean it's a wallet but technically a money clip, making both a wallet and money clip, or deciding between wallet and money clip. Because I'd definitely be interested in an N7 wallet, but I hate pure money clips.

Hey here's an idea for maybe not a garrus shirt, but a generic Turian shirt. In ME 1 they had some awesome ensignia, you know the Turian face pain design, what about a cool one of those on a shirt. Id buy that for sure.

N7 Wallet/Money Clip ------ If the wallet's made of good material (stands up to frequent use; no velcro please.  Possibly black leather with a small, enameled N7 symbol embedded at the corner) and is understated (not garish or childish), and if it were thin enough (I keep my wallet in my front pocket -- yes I, a woman, do not carry a purse ),  I would definitely buy it.  I need a replacement soon, anyway.

Dog Tags ----- Depends on what's on it. Custom Shep tags would be cool.  You could fill in info on the order form and pay a premium for a custom tag.  Could have info on one side, then black enamel with N7 engraved on it on the other side...and have "default" plain N7 tags available for a standard base price.  Engraved squad tags would be great as well. Their faces in dual-tone (black and tag base color [material color]) on one side and N7 on the other would be sweet, imo.  If there's a Garrus option, I'd buy it.

Lanyards ----- Depends on the design.  I already have a pretty nice lanyard I use, so it wouldn't be a Day 1 purchase for me, even with Garrus on it.

Keytags/Chains ----- Depending on the design, yeah, I'd get it. ^^ N7, Garrus' rank patch, character tags/chains...I'd go for those.

Embriodered Patches ----- Eh...I'm not so big on patches.  Too much personal work involved to make something of them. Granted...if it's the only way to get Garrus' rank patch on my sleeve... :3


Totes ----- Totes as in purses, or totes as in luggage? Either could work, I guess...don't see them being "hot commodities," but I'm not one to say "no" to more ME merchandise. ^^ I think, so long as they're understated/elegant/mature, they'd do well.

Messanger Bag -----  Not personally interested in it.

Backpack (Different them the shepard Backpack) ----- Were I still in school or needing something like that to drag my stuff around, I would definitely go for a ME backpack...unless it was too "kiddy," at which point...no.

Laptop Bags ----- Laptops and PLEASE don't forget NETBOOKS.  If you released a netbook bag as well, and again as long as it wasn't kiddy, I would go for it.

Fleece Jackets ----- As long as its a mature design (and preferrably in women's cuts as well) I would go for it.

Soft Shell Jackets ----- Same as with Fleece Jackets.

Men/Women's Thermals ----- No call for these where I'm at.  Not necessarily a bad idea, just...again, no need for them where I live. ^^

Women's Thermal henley w hood ----- Wouldn't be a Day 1 purchase, but I would probably consider it down the road if I liked the design.

N7 Track Jacket ----- Again, depends on the design (and if there are women's sizes/cuts.)

Shepard Football Jersey ----- Not a big jersey fan.  Were there a Garrus version, I'd buy it at some point as a pajama shirt.



OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Chibi Garrus Plushie ----- YES I am going to keep asking for one of these. XD A cute chibi Garrus plushy to cuddle? Definitely want.  Scarred or pre-scarred (prefer the latter, would take either...or both) make little difference to me at this point.

Everyone-Else Chibi Plushies ----- Particular ones of note on my wishlist: Legion (with head-flaps! ), Grunt, Mordin, Sovereign, Collector General, Keeper, Rachni

Statues ----- These would likely be much pricier, but high-quality (not plastic, for example) scaled replicas and statues of various ships and characters.  "Adult" collector's items would be AWESOME.

Cellphone Holders/Cases ----- Offer some universal sizes/designs for smartphones, flip phones, etc.  N7 designs, character designs...just keep it mature and sleek...something an adult would use.

Skins/Decals ----- Skins for various phones/consoles.  Full-size character wall decals.

Hanar Hat ----- YOU KNOW YOU WANT ONE.



And that's all I can think of off the top of my head. ^^

OMG!!! LMAO!! that hanar hat! god. thats so awesome. imagine turning up to E32011 and a dev walks out on stage- looks to the crowd..... and everyone wearing one of those. LOL

All of that stuff sounds great, but as others have said, please don't shortcut the quality, A nylon and plastic wallet with velcro is just wrong, we need leather and metal.



On the shot glasses, I'd like to see single shot and double shot varieties, I also wouldn't mind seeing some actual glassware for other drinks either, say a set of 4 beer mugs or drinking glasses etched with character designs or simply with an N7 logo or something like that.



I'm all for statues, but frankly the quality of the Shepard statue sucks something awful, the likeness, the build quality, the painting, and the general detail were all quite poor. If it were to be done, it needs to be high quality, I'm talking Hot Toys 1/6th scale or higher, like a high grade maquette or something. Considering there are already 2 waves of the DC line coming out, this seems doubtfull, but I don't see any reason why a Master Replica or WETA workshops kind of project couldn't be done for ships, technology and weapons replicas to take up the slack for what the DC figures don't replicate.
