@Lintanis Not sure, hopefully both. Can't wait to see it in action. Pity about it only being on console, man I hope it's on xbox, I know nothing about the PS controllers.

Well, considering that they're working on improving the PC interface (tactical view etc.) having the PC-version might work as to spread confusion about the game, akin to the French magazine that said that there wouldn't be any tactical view period.

A bummer, but I see why that would be so.

PS3 controllers have near enough the same set up as the xbox ones dont take long to get use to, hope the queues wont be too long for you and have fun :wizard:

I really do think that they lean towards the consoles because of portability and convenience. That aside, the games are identical except for the controls and GUI. A screenshot would probably be sufficient for the GUI and you won't understand the controls unless you have them under your own fingers. So I really don't think it makes a big difference which platforms they chose.

If that was the case a laptop would do even better, plus no RROD to fret over. Heck they can borrow mine as long as I can keep the game on it...alpha/beta or whatever. Image IPB

So I have this new Flip Video Cam, I'm assuming taking video of the gameplay is still a "no no"?

I'd expect more leaked footage to come out over the weekend, what with all those cockney wideboys going down, there a shifty bunch them, anything that's not bolted down.

Let's hope Bioware finally shows us something new. The info we have been getting has been very skimpy as of late.

Youtube search for 'DA2 at EuroGamer Expo' returns 0 results.

Son I am disappoint.

* I in no way endorse the filming of gameplay footage that has not been authorised by Bioware.

Just had a go yesterday (friday) with the DA2 demo at the Expo.

Four demos running on the 360. The booth wasn't grand, compared to the booths of other games which had big posters and plenty more demos running at the same time on bigger screens. The DA2 logo near the booth was also hidden way up near the ceiling.

Considering that, it's understandable that some people would miss it. But it's there.

Personal impressions:

The combat is definitely improved. A little more action-y, but the potential for tactical planning is still there.

The graphics were a little improved, but not by far. No biggie, coz DA strengths lie in its storytelling and characters. Still wondering when it'll match Mass Effect standards though..

Speaking of Mass Effect and story-telling, i'm a bit disappointed and frankly underwhelmed with the new dialogue system from the DEMO. Three responses, speaking generally, 'good', 'funny', and 'bad' tones. With sometimes an 'investigate' option. Dragon Effect this certainly looks like. Dragon Age was supposed to be the spiritual successor to BG, but with a conversation system like this, it appears to be having an identity crisis. I suspect deciding to include a voice in DA2 had an effect on that, coz imagine the voice-recording needed, eh? (or is it the other way around?)

These are my impressions from the DEMO of course, so no need to throw the 'wait and see coz the final DA2 will be awesome'. I certainly hope so! And I certainly hope the new conversation system will win me over too. But I'll miss the old system :(

And not really liking male Hawke's voice for some reason. Personal preference aside, that's another reason i'm missing the old silent conversation system.

@EfanOne Phew, glad to hear that it is there. Looking forward to trying it out.
