What's my chance of getting that "bonus" > 60% ?
Don't worry about patching the DLC and Awakening, I do not own them. :innocent:

Ill be happy with some in game armour or something, but that should be for every new copy, like DAO, rather than loyal fans.
Yeah, I'm all for small extras. Especially as a reward for loyalty, but something that everyone can access is also good.
Is it smart business? I have no idea. So long as it's both small and extra, that can't be a bad thing.
I think there's a difference between that kind of incentive, however, and feeding into someone's entitlement. Not that I think that's what anyone is doing here, precisely, but I think you might understand how it can seem when someone essentially says "I demand free stuff! Gimme!"
But who doesn't want free stuff? I mean, really.

Yeah, or something for the avatar. That would be cool.
Or a funny item, like the Butterfly Sword.

Businesses should work harder to make sure they retain their core as well as adding to it.
All too often in the pursuit of new customers and new markets long time customers can be driven away or forgotten about when it really doesn't take a lot to retain a loyal customer.
Most companies have been guilty of it before, even BioWare a time or two.

rofl. Right. With development costs in the multiple tens of millions of dollars and they are just giong to give away thousands of copies of the new game to disgruntled gamers. lol, sure.....
You knew there was always a chance you wouldnt be happy with any of the DLC or expansion, yet you bought them anyways. That is always the case with creative media. There are no guarantees you will like it. You take a chance and move on if unhappy.

On that subject, loved the way you guys handled the release of DA:O.
I bought a legal copy (of course) and got Shale and The Blood Dragon Armor. The special edition people even got Wardens Keep if I remember correctly. People who pirated it didn't get those extra's.
Small extra's like that keep you smiling as a customer. It has benefits for you, benefits for us and in the end everybody is happy.
Maybe you guys could create an in-game item for DA:2 based on the save from DA:O you use. For example, if you finished the game as human noble, there will be a Cousland Family Blade somehwere in the beginning of the game...if you finished as a Mage, you could find the Wardens original Mage Staff....that way the item itself isn't 'exclusive' but ye old DA:O players do feel special for obtaining something 'new' players don't.

As a long time consumer of bioware goods I demand they include in the DA2 release an air guitar, a set of clothes such as the emperor wore and an action man deserter. If my demands are not met I will shrug, SHRUG I say.
You sir, are made of pure awesome lol.

Off topic Im amazed you Stan are even allowed to wear that company badge on these forums i have seen you post in a few threads and you come across as aggresive and bordering on insulting at times. Ill agree that he has a point this kind of thing is not the norm but....some companies do it, I wouldnt expect bioware to they release dlc and fair play to them for that... though someone really needed to get kicked in the nutts for that witch hunt business. Oh and the comment we have 2 years of dlc planned...... is that why they wer eoften bugged you condensed your 2 years of releases into a shorter time frame?

Indeed. While I definetely consider myself in the Bioware camp supporting DA2 and ME2's new direction, I take it upon myself to call for a certain level of respect from everyone to everyone, regardless of what side they're on in this debate. So I would also like to call out Mr. Woo for his words, even if they were what most of us were thinking when we saw this, Bioware deserves a PR guy who doesn't try to insult and potentially alienate fans for no good reason.
Just look at Priestly's response which came mere minutes after Woo's post. It expressed the same basic message while being respectful and explaining why the OP's request wasn't in Bioware's interests calmly. Priestly's post in this thread is the perfect example of how much of the conversation on these boards should be.

The original game, however, has been amazing, and the majority of downloadable content was well worth the price. Is there any way that those of us who have downloaded all of the add-ons, and purchased DOA, can be rewarded or otherwise compensated for the above two additions?
It never hurts to ask...hopefully.
You do realize you're talking about EA, right?
As for the DLCs, they were a rip-off. For what you're paying (on an average $3+ per hour) they are NOT worth the price.

Seriously, if money is such a concern for you, you should probably spend it for other things than video games.

I disagree, the items one recieves in ALL files after completeing certain goals in the dlcs more than make up for the pricecosgamer wrote...
