Even the sacrifice option isn't necessarily the end, for all we know you could be trapped in the fade as a form of purgatory.

Ancient God returns. If you did ritual in form of the child. If you,Loghain, or Alistair sacrificed yourself - you come back in Liche God mode.

If I had to assume I really doubt the dark pact will ever become both canon and a major part of any future DLC or sequel.

Those of us who hang out on these DA forums aren’t the typical player, and I’d bet the average player doesn’t play through a 40-60 hour game multiple times. DLC around Morrigan’s god child would only be interesting to those who selected that option. I really doubt we’ll see any “after the final battle” DLC because of the smaller potential customer base.

Unlike DLC, sequels are intended for new players as much as those who played the previous game. “Track down the girl you banged in the previous game” has no emotional involvement for new players as well as previous players who didn’t explore that ending.

However, they will have quite hard time in finding another storyline with similar epic-ness. Blight N+1 would be boring. Adventuring in Orlais and Tevinter would be nice, but somehow lack scale after fighting the Blight. An Old God returned? That's another story.

I hope they do canonize the fact she has a baby simply because it holds a huge potential for foreshadowing. Perhaps the baby's father could be:

• PC

• Alistair/Loghain

• Riordan?

Yeah, I totally feel that it was necessary to create another one of these threads instead of sticking to one of the gazillion older ones.

This raises a question for me, though I'm sure the answer is no, but I think it's seriously lame that you have to take up Morrigan's offer in order to have both you and Alistair survive the final battle, especially if you're romancing him, but if you have Loghain join your group, Alistair won't continue the relationship will he? 'cause I thought about just sacrificing Loghain out of all of us and telling Morrigan to ******** herself.

Well an epic campaign can always be built out of betrayal and politics of kings. Which is what we have with the original, the blight served as a backdrop, a major part of the campaign or story here is Loghains betrayal.

You have the threat of a Qunari invasion as well, it doesn't all need to be about blights. :)

I seriously hope the god child isn't canon. I specifically said no for three reasons:

I hate Morrigan.

I wanted Loghain to sacrifice himself.

I dont want that cow Morrigan and a stupid baby as the villain of the next game. I'd prefer someone cool.

I hope the kid gets my character's look and not the hag's...

That will be one fetching demon baby.
