Honestly, so long as the LI is a well written character I can really get behind, then I don't really care if he/she is human, an elf or even a hobbit with a penchant for BDSM.



But as a preference? Dalish elf chick that's a bisexual romance option.

In dragon age I chose Alistair because of his personality, he made me laugh. But my favorite bioware romance is definetely Garrus's, and that had nothing to do with personality or how he looked. 
In short my ideal DA2 romance would have Brandon Keener as a voice actor.
