Yes, I'm fine with that and everyone is free to their own likes, but if Bioware's writers start leaning on old character concepts to create "new" ones, it all becomes mass production of old and sort of improved storylines.

I agree that that would be bad. I also have faith that BioWare won't let their IP turn into Cliche Soup

And still no really curvy hips to balance out those broad shoulders. Ah well. The lack of body fat elsewhere just really makes the boobs look like implants though. It's so jarring.

It is more realistic that a fighting woman would be in extremely fit/athletic shape like the above, but the big ol' breasts don't match with that IMO.

Well, it's only natural for BioWare to draw upon and take inspiration from past successes. No one's really a "recycled" anyone, and no one's going to be. Someone that is actually nice from the time you meet them until the end. No bad girl/bad boy with baggage, no person that has just tried to kill me that I'm supposed to welcome with open arms. No snotty girl/guy with an attitude. No person/creature from a foreign land that I'm supposed to explain how we do things in this part of the world. No crazies.

For my unscrupulous Warrior Lady Hawke I would love for her to have a bad ass just as unscrupulous but hopelessly fawning over her human male rogue. Though maybe Varric would be a good alternative.

For my two male hawkes that I've built up profiles for, am not sure yet. Mage probably going to want to be with a warrior princess (well in his eyes she'll be a princess even if she isn't) and Rogue possibly a female rogue who he sees as his guiding equal. Maybe the woman in the destiny trailer that shares a kiss with Hawke and a mini duel with (forgive my ignorance if it has been confirmed who she is)

I'd like to choose what type of romantic relationship my character develops with an LI.

Perhaps in this playthrough, my Hawke falls deeply in love with "generic_female_elf_#14".
Perhaps in the next, my Hawke will just want to get into the pants of "generic_female_elf_#14".
Next one, perhaps my Hawke is secretly dating "generic_female_elf_#12" while playing away with #14.

A loving relationship, a purely physical one, cheating, betrayal and heartbreak.

Many options lead to a more varied and interesting game experience .. and more replayability!

So to answer the OP's question; my dream romance is one that I can play out in a number of different ways.

I think the writers think that would be boring. And they would think you'd think it was boring too if you actually had it.

For elves, I thought Ariane was pretty good looking...wouldn't have minded a romance with her.

Since i don't have a direct say in character development, i think i'll just be happy with whatever Bioware throws at me...as long as it's like DA:O where if i have to do something i find distasteful i can walk out of the roomn while it's happening on screen.
