I always thought it was a little off in ME that the Council has all these Spectre's with unrestricted access to anything along with the combat training, experience, and weapons to strike fear in almost anyone they go up against - yet Shepard is the only one we see when the **** hits the fan.

I thought it was great that we met another Spectre in LOTSB .. do you all think we're going to see a lot more of the Spectre's in ME3? If the massive universal battle does take place in ME3 .. I can't see the Council ignoring it or assigning all their Spectre's to anything other than the Reaper threat.

I wanna see all the other Spectre's to size my Shep up with them!

The Citadel alone houses trillions of people, never mind Council space, and never mind the galaxy. Even with thousands of Spectres the Council would have very little coverage, and it's unlikely there are thousands. Running into another Spectre, let alone all of them, would be very unlikely.

It would be cool to fight alongside some during the final battle though.

This is what ME2 should've been about, you know.

No.

Also Shepard working with Specters never ends well.

spectres generally work alone so they probably aren't lining up to join shepards mission. not to mention the fact that a majority of the galaxy thinks shepards dead... that tends to make getting allies a bit hard

Where are all the other Spectres? Hiding from Shepard, of course.

The citadel has millions not trillions of people according to the codex, and I believe another codex entry mentioned that the alliance estimates there are under 100 specters total. So odds of finding another spectre are pretty slim considering the size of the galaxy.

We shouldn't be excusing it or explaining it, we should be complaining until they change it.

I know I couldn't have been the only one who thought it was odd that Vasir was the first Spectre we encounter since Nihilus.

If Spectre's work alone .. then what the hell were all the hundreds/thousands of Spectre's doing in ME1? Surely a decent handful at the very least would've put some of the pieces together along with Shepard about the Reapers. Saren did.

In ME2 I could understand the smaller chance of us seeing them since it was primarily human-focused .. but I would be very shocked if we don't see anymore in ME3.

Its not improbable at all that we never run into other spectres. For a couple reasons:

1. The galaxy is freakin massive. There's a lot of ground to cover. Chances are Shep could never see another spectre again.

2. Covert operations. Its also possible the council doesn't allow spectres to know too much about other spectres, for obvious security reasons.

Alliance intel estimates that there are only about 100 Spectres, so it's not hard to believe that we don't see to many of them.  Also, the other Spectres were off doing other stuff, so they weren't around to put any of the pieces together.  They couldn't do anything if they weren't there and the Council didn't tell them.

I find it hard to believe that with all the evidence Shep has uncovered to date, that no other Spectre even has an inkling as to the reality of the greater threat.

We will come across more of them in ME3.

Spectres don't necessarily work alone, and there are others around. Cerberus Daily News mentioned some.

Maybe they are uncovering their own secret threats.... hell, there might be other nasties out there that deserve a spectres attention....it's a big galaxy after all..  ....either that or they are abusing their powers and shepard is the only one actually -trying- to do his job properlly.

And still, people are defending the lack of interesting Spectre encounters!

What's become of you, fellow forumites? Have you forgotten that meeting other Spectres is awesome? So awesome that whether it's probable or not is totally irrelevant?

You think it's "probable" that everybody knows everybody in ME? Probable Samara knew Nihlus? That you meet Liara's father at a bar? That Mordin knows Kirrahe?

Give me more Spectres!! You can't break the probability rule with other characters and not break it for me!!

The distracted secretary in ME1 says "when you represent trillions of citizens it can get pretty busy."

On reflection though, that could have meant Council Space. Even so, that's a lot of people, in a lot of space. So how many Spectres are there?

I bet we'll see some in ME3, with the Reaper threat approaching. We may not get to know them personally, but I can't see the only other two Spectres we meet be Nihlus and Vasir.
Of course, who says we haven't run across Spectres already? I'm pretty sure the dancing turian in Thane's loyalty mission was one Posted Image

but isnt she talking about not only the people on the citadel but everyone in council space? cause she does work at the embassies and the embassies dont represent just the members of their race on the station they represent them as a whole. IMO lol at least thats what i gathered.

I mean, really. If you wander out into the galaxy on a road trip, no, it’s not “probable” you’ll meet another Spectre.

If, however, you are making it your job to become involved in all manner of important galactic events of a vital or sensitive nature, then it becomes improbable that you’re not  running into more Spectres.

Which is odd, because, you know, Shepard does that and more before breakfast.

Well, while I agree with the sentiment, the Citadel has a population of 13.2 million.

13,200,000

Not

X,000,000,000,000

Big difference there. Like, nearly 76 thousand times.

In my game the Spectres have lost their power. All hail Udina and the human council.
