I'm very much diggin' the build as well. Running as a GPS Shotgun Engineer at the moment. I'm currently in the process of a very slow burn playthrough, and my latest so far are only 2/3rds of the way through Purgatory:

Purgatory 2
Nice vids. Thanks for posting.
I thinking about making a run like this myself. I haven't rolled up an engineer in a while. Lately it's been vanguard and assault sentinel almost exclusively. And yeah, I'll mod the weapon loadout to get the shotgun. No point waiting the disable collector ship to start having fun..

Nice videos, you're really good using both Combat Drone and GPS.
Good having some cool vids around showing Engineer is great class. It might inspire others to try the class next - like me

@Bozorgmehr I'd love to see you make another crazy shotgun vid with the engineer, i'm sure you'd love it too
If anybody's up for a challenge, we still have to see an aggressive engineer clear a mission without squadmates (cruc1al did every class but this one). I'm sure it is very doable with shotguns and good power usage in an offensive, minimal cover approach. First one gets a cookie.

You're not as resilient since GSB isn't exactly a tech armor equivalent but you have more optiond with which to dispatch enemies. And engineers will always be by far he best boss killers. Just spam drone and they won't look at you twice.

Fun videos to watch! I kept thinking of the engineer in TF2. I chose the sniper rifle as a weapon specialty since I was conflicted about whether to choose the infiltrator or engineer class at the start of ME2. I'm beginning to wonder if I made a poor choice.
It would have only been a poor choice if you didn't want to play from a distance. The kind of gameplay a Sniper Engineer offers is about playing God, not playing Tali

It all depends on your playstyle preference. If you've got a save pre-collector ship (another reason (other than video making) II make a hard saves before every mission and also just before the special weapons training terminal on all my playthroughs, just in case I decide to try out another weapon I don't have to play through the whole game again if I don't want to) just go back to it, pick up the shotgun, and give it a whirl for a few missions. If you don't like it your sniper saves will still be there and you won't have wasted your time and if you do you can continue to use it and go back to the sniper saves later.

You shotgun people in the back instead of in the face.....
the engineer ends up stripping defences with powers and killing with guns while the sentinel does it the other way around

@ Sinosleep - Thanks for including my vids on the thread OP. I just finished watching your Engineer's Shadow Broker run. Nicely done! Very fast paced.
@ Bozorgmehr - Given your track record, namely your Non-cloaking Infiltrator and Solo Shotgun Adept, I'm sure you'll come up with something completely insane when you try out this build.
Here are a couple of recent vids from my current playthrough:
-Purgatory (part 3)
-Archangel Base (part 1)

New video uploaded, also added Huckebein's videos to the OP.
Very nice vid. I'll start a new Engineer this weekend.
I love the way you're using Mordin, basically the other way around to what I'm used to do with the Adept (use squadies to strip defenses and finish using Shep's biotics) - you're using Shep to strip shields and Mordin's Incinerate on enemy health (something I always considered the Engineer to be lacking; fast CC ability - Cryo Blast just takes too long.
@ Fegede and Huckebein; I'll do some Engineering when I'm ready and if I'm having fun I'll record some to share. I don't think I'll be running around without squadies, it slows things down too much - it can be done like Sinosleep said, no doubt, but it has to be fun to watch otherwise I consider it not worth recording.
@ X-Frame; builds are in Sinos' vids (except the Dantius Towers one)

Archangel Base (part 2)
Excellent vid.
I'm about to run through the game again with my Engineer, so I will try to make a shotgun Engineer.
What's a good build for this?
I was going to do...
Heavy Overload
Heavy Incinerate
Attack Drone
1 point in Cryo Blast
Demolisher (Operative, whatever it's called) class spec
Maxed Geth Shield Boost (Improved?)

I recommend Area Overload and Incineration Blast in place of their heavy alternatives.

I've got to agree with this. If you're going to be shotgunning AOE CC is invaluable. And area overload can set it up while incineration blast can cause it.

You can't use Overload and Incinerate fast enough; you'll need squadies for help. I recommend to use either Area Overload yourself and Mordin's Incinerate for CC (or vice versa). Geth Shield Boost is a great 'oh crap' button and can be very useful going the SG Engineer path. Or you can go for Neural Shock; very effective, short cooldown, AoE, CC ability - something the Engineer class is lacking (Cryo Blast is on same cooldown, but has to travel to target and the freezing takes time too, while Neural Shock is instant).

I'm not saying to use the combo yourself, I'm saying to use it the way I use it in my videos. Either you use aoe defense stripping to set up squadmate aoe damage/cc or vice-versa.That's what I meant by setting it up.
I know that Sino
I just tried to point out that it's better to specialize in one thing (either defense stripping or CC) than try doing everything yourself; you've got squadies so make good use of them.
