Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to send everyone and update that we are currently working on new International shipping options that we believe will faster (14 days max on average), trackable, and cheaper then the current trackable option. I will update when I have more information, but provide fast affordable service to our international customers is important and we're hoping to have some improvements to share with you soon.

Thanks,
Jed

Result! Fantastic to hear Jedi. Thanks for looking out for us in International. The wallet definitely appreciates it and I'll be eager to watch this space for any further news.

The speed of shipping doesn't matter that much to me, but it being cheaper would be nice though.

Would be especially nice if whatever new shipping company knew ways to avoid all the bloody taxations and customs fees there can be with goods upon entring the EU.

Ordered a poster and the me2 Korlus litho a while back and when they arrived the other day I found out I had to pay the delivery guy a fixed fee of €10 for each (what with them being packaged seperately), so €20 in total (about 27USD), for the customs fees and such.
And that's something that's not very encouraging for ordering a lot more from the store.

... I don't like reading about wanting to betray the customs and commit tax evasion (avoid is the key word here). Of course, it is understandable that you, Morbo - and everyone else - would like to have to pay less additional fees, but tax is something one has to come to terms with when one's importing goods. (And this I say because I've been importing stuff for 12 years and learned my lesson well, sometimes the hard way. As much as I don't like them, because often, today's duty has not much in common with the basic idea of custom duties - protecting the domestic goods.)

A decrease in shipping costs would be appreciated.

Yeah, I know really.

It's just irritating knowing that there's people who've imported tons of stuff and never or only rarely had to deal with the taxes. Customs simply can't and won't check everything coming into a country and some people seem to get lucky with that a lot.

Also annoyed about being charged a fixed fee for it. It would've actually been cheaper if they'd just charged me the 21% VAT we have here, but nooooo.

And that makes me wonder, if say, you order multiple lithos at once, do they get packaged together or seperately? Anyone know? Cos with this fixed fee crap, it comes out much more expensive for me with everything in seperate packages, and I can't see how putting a few together would hurt.

Sometimes it depends on time and origin. E.g. Sony urged the German customs to check parcels from HK more thorougly, when the PSP and the PS3 were released in Japan. Or Apple had US shipments controlled when the first iPhone was released. (Anything else is motivated by politics and doesn't belong here.)

An order containing several lithos usually comes in one package. Personal experiences. I don't know about mixed orders containing a litho and a poster.

Ah, good to know that they come in one package, thanks!

With that and the cheaper shipping I'm happy enough already and looking forward to getting more lithos to decorate my overly bare walls with.

Hmmm, the tracking option would be quite nice too actually, as it would give me an idea when to be at home to expect the delivery and have some cash ready.

Great. XPO air is a pretty good bargain (and in my case, the fact that local delivery is handled by the national postal service is actually easier for me), but it IS painfully slow...

Very great. I thought once that one of my litho was lost, but I received it a five weeks after the shipping notice. That was the fault of the French post however, but the lack of tracking didn't help.

And I'm glad it would be cheaper too, of course :)
