And don't come and tell me well use your saves bla bla bla hey I have the right to save whenever I feel like it AND the game auto-saves so I should not have to think about saving b4 unrecoverable bugs that I don't know about happens.
I have bought the collectors edition and I was just thrilled to finally get to the end and get the expansion coming but guess what!? I don't feel like starting the whole thing over, can't get to finish the game with so bad armors on. Too bad I loved the game but I will NOT get the expansion anymore.

Know what you mean, though. There are things I like in this game, but there are plenty I don't. Two or three of the design decisions almost literally staggered me. *shrug* After issues with this game, after ME1, it's not my wallet's problem anymore.

Ended up having to replay back to talking with the Arl since I burned all my AutoSaves looking at the different combos of my friends coming to break me out.
Took out my vengance on all the guards. Came back up from the dungeon in my nice armor and killed everyone in the castle.

i have a fix that i would like to suggest for this problem. for it to work 2 thing need to happen.
1) you have killed arl howe but not have opened anora's door.
2) past anora's room on the way to the dungeon, there is a room on the side of the corridor, where a maid is giving BJ (looks like it anyways) to a guard. its the room where vaughan's chest is located. the guard must be alive (u havent talked to him)
now simply walk p and talk to him, he'll sound the alarm, and attack you and the game will remove the guard armor and replace with your own.
try it out and see if it works.

Maybe it'd be good to to have a small community patch wich simply triggers the original script
(replaces the disguise with the player gained armor) - for those with a save slot cleanup cuckoo

I had an earlier save and have interrupted the Guard and his girl several times trying to get my armor back and each time it signals that I have new items in inventory but nothing's there and I stay in the bloody disguise armor.
Come on, Bioware! Fix the bug!

This game is on the shelf now until I see Steam download a fix for this bug. I was really enjoying the game and I could tell I was getting close to the end. I'll just have to wait for Mass Effect 2 so I can play a new RPG.
Saying that is precisely why BioWare will continue to produce products with game-breaking bugs in them. Why would they fix them if you just told them you'll buy their next game anyway?
I say just stop buying their games and let them see how it feels when they take their loyal customers money and don't even make an attempt at trying to address the huge amount of issues in their products.

Remember, Bioware has the largest beta testing community in the gaming industry. The customers!
If I recall, there seemed to be a large Fixpack for BG2 that dealt with all the issues Bioware wouldn't bother with, so why on earth would anyone expect them to change their business model for this game? If the game will load, it's ready for release. Any bugs encountered by the beta testers(aka customers) can be fixed by said customers using the toolkit.
Said customers will keep buying defective software and complaining but still will line up for the next release.
P.T. Barnum was right.

EPIC FAIL Bioware. Thanks for destroying our savegames... Will there be a patch or can we uninstall the game?
