Bhelen getting rid of the Assembly was following a legal precedent (it was done during the last Blight) and simply doing that won't stop rebellions and assassination attempts if you try something so stupid as to put a non-dwarf on the Orzammar throne.Sabariel wrote...

Dont forget Leliana is an assassin herself:devil:Caak7i wrote...
Not going to happen anytime soon. Orzammar, especially the noble caste, are stuck on traditional values that a human Queen would cause an immediate uproar. There would be numerous assassin attempts on the ruling couple and they cannot stay isolated in the Royal Palace forever. Unless you and Leliana are immortal, you would not last long at all as rulers of Orzammar.

That's still not going to make anyone put up with making Leliana Queen. I think she'd be miserable as Queen of Orzammar even if she would be allowed (which she wouldn't). She wants something more honest than the political games that the Orlesians play and Orzammar nobles do the same thing. Besides, she'd be the only human surrounded by people of a different species and that wouldn't be much fun.start a civil war and ask for emergency powers. thats how you take power.

Orzammar is a whole different ballpark than the surface. Her experience could help you foil some assassination attempts but she cannot stop them all. Especially in a culture where backstabbing is the norm amongst the nobles.

Bhelen followed a legal precedent for dissolving the Assembly. Your character would just get themselves and Leliana assassinated and have an open revolt on your hands if you tried to pull **** like putting Leliana on the throne. She's the wrong species for Orzammar and they would not stand for it. Please not that Bhelen never tries something that obviously doomed to fail and there is enough resistance to just the idea of a noble marrying someone of a lesser caste never mind a human.yo bro wrote...
just saying Lel would make a good queen for either my human or dwarf characters, she would make a great advisor to a king. Anora betrayed me twice, so thats a good start to a marriage. Why I have Lels on the side. Besides Bhelen found a way to dissolve the assembly in Orzammer. my Dwarf could find a way.
