I never had a lock-up before today. Now I have had several. Every time I start the game, it locks up within a minute or two, sometimes sooner. I thought it might be a cache or save game problem, but no. I cleared the cache, and just now I have had the game lock up in the menu before I could even load a save. This is enormously frustrating. The disc is fine. Is there anything else to try? Thanks.

It crossed my mind that it could be a hardware problem. This is a 360 after all. But I've spent the last 15 minutes watching a DVD with no problems.

And now it mysteriously works again. Not that I'm complaining, but...

Invest in either the PC version or man up the cash and get it for the PS3. Either way, you wont be disappointed...

...and now it's doing it again. I guess my second Xbox is probably on its last legs. It just froze trying to load the Dashboard. Probably not Dragon Age then.

I had similar problems playing Too Human last year, I thought it was a game issue, then sure enough there came a RROD. Sorry dude!

Sorry to hear that. I was watching this thread because I hadn't heard of this issue yet and was concerned. Vendek, please keep us updated and let us know if it does end up being an RROD in case anyone else has the same creeping issue ands finds your post.

I will update this thread. I am fairly confident it isn't a DA issue now, but an imminent console failure. This console is a refurb to replace my original 360 which RRODed. Great job, Microsoft!

OK, I haven't got the RRoD yet, but I'm convinced it's just a matter of time. I just tried three times to boot up the Dashboard, and it froze all three times. Sorry for jumping to the conclusion that it was DA. This is actually a replacement from Microsoft, so I assumed they would have corrected it. I didn't realize that they just shipped out units they knew were destined to fail while waiting for the extended warranty clock to run out. I thought surely my factory refurb wouldn't just die. Why is there no class action lawsuit?!

Bummer to hear it man

At least the arcades are fairly cheap.

if it's your 3rd repair or greater, they'll fix it regardless of warranty status (according to the agent I spoke to at MS)

@ Jack... there isn't an arcade SKU any more as the NXE requires a physical hard drive to operate correctly

And there we go. RRoD. Bah. Well, anyway, off-topic for this forum. I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. My thanks to those commiserations. Too many of us have been through this too many times. Definitely MS's fault and NOT Bioware's.

Mine as well just started freezing the system while playing DA. Has happened twice since last night. Both times during a battle. I just received this repaired/replaced 360 from MS about 6 weeks ago after my last one went out. That was the second time the replaced it. Anyone else have any issues with the 360 version?
