Tell me at least that Morrigan's whole "change" speech was actually alluding to something specific we'll hopefully be seeing in a future DA game and not just vague prophecy speak #503 that can be attached on to anything in the future?

I could tell yout that, but would you believe me? I could just be patting you on the head and whispering sweet nothings in your ear so you'll bring me a cookie. You got nothin'.

Don't be bitter, Senhor Gaider.

It's obscene how many of my tears you've feasted upon.

There's many more coming, I'm sure.

Bon apitite.

All I know is DA2 is going to give me Captain Janeway not only as a all powerful shapeshifting dragon lady but she's going to be in HOT ARMOR. Bring the predictions.

I miss that old stoned prophet-ish riddle talker...

"What did she mean "we will not speak again"? Wait... Does that mean I am going to die!? Hello!!??!"

Ahhh... priceless. That was my favorite prophecy.

Finn is good times, although his giggling at the ends of certain statements makes me want to punch him. WHAT WAS HE INFERRING ABOUT MORRIGAN?!?! I'LL KILL HIM!

I liked to imagine my Warden responding to him when appropriate.

"Don't make me knock your teeth out of your head..." Seemed appropriate in said cenario.

It seemed like Eleni was predicting his sudden violent end at my Warden's hands.

Nawww... he was too squishy to be violent towards. A harsh look and he might wet himself. And that is no fun for anybody.

Props to the guy though. Never thought a bookworm could stand his own against mythical beasts out to consume his flesh.

It will be wonderful if the Maker eventually makes himself apparent to mortals...and I think the developers sense this

The bottom line is that how the Maker plays out in this franchise will depend on how deep the developers have taken their definition of the cosmos

If Bioware choses to fully develop their cosmos, the Maker will be part of a much larger scheme. In other words, the Maker will be the closest aspect of the creator that can become apparent to a mortal mind.

Beyond the Maker, would lie the unfathomable...

I actually think it would be much more interesting if we never got a definitive answer. I mean, I love all the hints and nudges they give you in the game while never actually confirming anything.

If the Maker actually exists I don't think he would ever bother confirming that to the mortals of the world anyways.

Especially since the main point of the Maker is that he is absent and has turned his back on the world and all his followers are attempting to get him to have a peak over his mighty shoulder at them.

Really, I just like that there are multiple faiths in the world and I like that none appear any more or less legitimate than any other.

Good catch, SirShrek.
I'll give you this: there's something to Eleni's prophecies. They're not completely random. What she's talking about, though? Well...you'll have to wait and see.

:)

Thank you sir! As in Very very much!  What else can I say?

About Finn though: Her prophecy concerning Finn is interpreted by Mary Kirby already. It turns out that Finn NEVER returns to the tower. He and Ariene become a couple and they roam the world together. So Zinovia IS right... I will try to find that post but it is really difficult. I will request you to take my word for it.

Its OK Brockololly, at least he's Honest and not greedy. Which in my book (small one though it may be) go a long long way on the Yellow brick road.

Ooh, baby! I'd love to see Eleni as an actual character in DA2. I wonder if we will see her in human form?

I also emphasize here that in my comments above, I imagine the Maker to be the creator of the DA world, (ie Thedas in this case)

In our real world, the true God created the earth, galaxies and universes. That kind of being is truly infinite and way way beyond the Dragon Age Maker who consorts with Andraste...

Yeah met him for a pint the other day, allright bloke but he's a touch right wing and strangely enough he's a scientologist (worships Tom Cruise, bit of a man crush if you ask me). Still had to say congratulations on the earth, sun and of course Angelina Jolie, his reply "sometimes you just get things right".

The funny thing is that Bioware does not really need to make the Maker's existence ambiguous...

If the Maker were to show up in Ferelden and say "hey guys, this is me" Not a single soul will believe him!

Heh- yeah, I kind of doubt they'd havethe Maker appear in the flesh, but so long as doubt and ambiguity is reatained with everything divine or religous in DA thats cool.

Its one reason I really hope they don't marginalize the whole Old God Baby plot- I just think it would be awesome to have the OGB when he's grown up a bit more to go around Thedas acting like some sort of Jesus/Andraste figure except perhaps for the Old Gods. And naturally, you'd have people marvelling at him thinking he really is divinity and you'd have people scoffing at him saying he is just some lunatic mage.

Anyone see that film Excalibur, every time someone mentions the OGB I can't help but think of that creepy kid in the golden armour and his morrigan like mum. Makes me wonder with the existence of dragon cults being a known fact (see haven) and the former leanings of Tevinter do you think the Imperium could return to worshipping the old gods if one emerged either with the OGB or maybe Flemeth?

Well, they could just be vague predictions that a writer tossed in there which could potentially be ascribed to anything in the future. Which makes us look prescient, like we had it planned all along.

Or it could be about something specific. And you will see Eleni again.

Scary, huh?

This was a delicious cookie David thank you!!:wizard:

Kinda like how those guys chanting outside candlekeep back in Baldur's Gate were just random, ambient noise tossed in by a bored writer right?

In fact, it wouldn't suprise me at all, if, at some point in the future, The Maker did in fact "bring ham" and "bread sinners." After all, that old priestess knows the chant like the back of her hand.

I am wondering if those statues of War and Peace in Awakening in the Wending Wood are in any way connected to Eleni Zinovia? Or is it just common place to have talking statues in Thedas? If I recall the statues of War and Peace in Awakening were Avvars that were cursed by a Tevinter, I think?
