It won't trigger. I didn't go directly there after Lothering. Instead I got Shale then when I went to Redcliffe, the scene and dialogue didn't trigger? Is this going to affect my game? I have 10+ hours on the game already and I don't want to have to start over if it isn't necessary...

If you are talking about the conversation about him being the heir to the throne, in my first playthrough, Alistair told me that in camp, he didn’t like me enough to tell me at Redcliffe I guess. In all other playthroughs, he just went ahead and told me when we reached Redcliffe.
