So after having a lot of fun with ME2, I decided to pick up ME1. I just figured it wouldn't be the same not playing the first game and I wanted to import my own character so that some things in the story line change.
The problem is, after just beating the game(maybe 10 minutes ago) I go through the credits, as to be expected, but then it sends me to the startup of the game(i.e. the BioWare, EA logos and such). I tried to resume my game just to be sure everything was all right, and it sends me back to the beginning of the fight with Saren, which had been an auto save. Is this normal?
I have a feeling that this isn't right because when I go into ME2 I try to import the character, but it doesn't show up in the list. So how do I effectively finish the game, or if I'm in the normal situation here, import my character? I'm thinking maybe it's because of where I installed the game(D drive instead of default C drive). However, the save games are still kept in a seperate file in the C drive so I'm stumped. Basically, I'm just really trying to find a solution to importing my ME1 character. All help is appreciated.

Your fine. ME1's last autosave is when your fighting Saren so if you resume...you do so from that point. When you open the game (ME2) use the configuration utility and point ME2 to the ME1 folders with your new save games again. Then once in the game import your ME1 guy again and it should work. I also have my games on another hard drive and have had no issues importing.

Ah thanks for the help. Although, I managed to fix it myself last night and forgot to update the thread. I just tried moving my 'Game Completed' save file to the ME1 folder in my erm... ME2 folder(lol) and it worked. Thanks for letting me know about the ending, though. I don't understand why BioWare would make it that way but whatever, now that I know it's no problem.
