Excuse me? I just finished playing Origins yesterday.

Assuming I am posting in the correct part of this forums site.... does anyone know any good/decent armour/weapon mods (with good stats e.t.c) I could download for "D.A. Awakening" please?
I don't know what has been upadted more recently, so I'm unsure where to find stuff.

Could anyone give me a link to where I can download any of the more recent stuff please?
And sorry to sounds like a complete noob. I guess I am when it comes to this.

Awakening gear is so much overpowered and the difficulty on nightmare is pretty much non-existent; I wonder how much "fun" you'll have when you use even more op gear.

Nexus is the best site out there. The only other one is the project page here on social networks.

AFAIK there are no Awakenings mods as Bioware did not make the code accessible. Anyway, as Jean-Funk notes, the game is full of over-powered gear, talents and spells.

YES there are!!
I downloaded this mod not long ago!

Advanced Quickbar
http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=706

I downloaded it for use in D.A Origins, and it has stayed availble for me to use with Awakening too!
(very useful indeed!) It is definitely compatible with Awakening! As you can see in the link, it clearly states that too!

The person who made that mod must have updated it in some way to make it compatible with D.A Awakening!

So in my opinion.... there MUST be 1 or 2 other mods out there which are compatible with D.A Awakening too! Probabaly very few though.... but just very difficult to find.

Anyway, as Jean-Funk notes, the game is full of over-powered gear, talents and spells.

I personally don't think that any armour and weapons are overpwered in D.A. Awakening.
BUT..... I decided to start playing it in easy mode, just to see how things went.

In the end, I've found it okay and not too bad really.
I've had 1 companion die a couple of times, but it's no big deal really...... as long as I don't have my whole party die then it's fine.

So in the end.... I've found that I'm doing okay.

I think it would be nice for more people to  make mods, and make them compatible with D.A Awakening though.

You are, unfortunately, badly missing the point of the previous responses to your post.  The toolset, which was released for separate download soon after the release of DA:O, is required for many mods...but not for all (depending on exactly what resources are being changed, and the complexity of those changes).

The toolset included source code and information about the base game...but much of the subsequent DLC (and Awakening) cannot be modified with the toolset.

There are some pretty obvious places, for example, in Warden's Peak where the Keep could have extra rooms added...except that it's "just not that easy".

So, count your blessings at the number of mods that have been made compatible with Awakening, and hope for an updated toolset once DA2 comes out.  (Of course, "Hope is not a strategy.")

i like the black templar armor, which is made for origins, but will carry over to awakening. just make sure to get the patch that removes the conflict between it and the sentinel armor.

You, good sir, don't seem to understand that a lack of assets that we can work with directly (which is all the contents of the current DA toolset database are) does not mean that we cannot modify the expansion; all it means is that we have to jump through a few hoops to get things to work. Creating new items that are usable in Awakening is no different than making them for Origins, since that kind of functionality does not depend on a specific set of code existing in the database; in fact, and this might be a bit of a shock to you, but those same methods will work for Leliana's Song, Golems of Amgarrak, and Witch Hunt and there are a number of mods that actually do modify those DLC. I know this because I have working versions of one of my own mods for DAO that work in Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt.

Ooohh! I think I like the sound of that.:)
If only I knew where to download this so called patch though.

On the other hand, if I'm already into the game, (kind of a 3rd or so into it) I don't think patches tend to be available unless you put it in, right b4 you start.... right? So knowing how far in I am... I may not see the patch's contents really.

D.A Awakening is quite new I suppose. It hasn't been out very long.
So I guess it does take a while to make new updates.

I've seen very few mods around which are compatible with D.A Awakening, but for the very few which are out already, it's a nice little bonus, and I hope to see more stuff in the making by you, the brillaint modders in the near future. :)
