Love these. Valve should make movies.

Regardless of subject matter, this is the best trailer I've ever seen in a while: great dramatic tension and graphics, and feels well-crafted. Like someone said, Valve should make movies.

That rocks. I third the call for a movie from Valve.

I really like the music in the beginning - the classic L4D music with a slow style twang. Really enjoyable. I agree, Valve made a great trailer.

DA:O will be fulfilling my SP needs and L4D 2 will be fulfilling my MP needs.

If I had to choose between this, and Borderlands... My Diablo 2 genes demand loot I'm afraid. But I still enjoy a bit of L4D every now and then. Got to be prepared for the zombie outbreak so there's no harm in training :P

I still enjoy that game plenty, though school interrupted it for a long time so I hardly got proper time in for it. I'm finding myself revisiting it for a decent few hours in a typically week for the last two weeks. I tend to stay away from Versus, though, unless I'm going in folks I know - because the mood there is a bit too competitive with folks caring more about talking trash rather than having fun.

Campaign mode is much more amusing to me with strangers, minus a few griefers.

My plans exactly! Great time to be a gamer right now.

And yeah that trailer is amazing.

I also find Campaign mode more fun for the same reason you listed. Maybe I just constantly get matched up with people that are way more competitive and professional in versus mode but I find myself constantly on the losing team while the others string a bunch of "LOL"'s in our direction. I don't play enough to get really good at it I guess.
I have enough fun with 2 or 3 friends on advanced mode on the campaigns. Expert is still way too hard for us.

Ditto - Valve is my fave developer because I have always gone nuts for all their games. Half Life and HL2 plus all episodes have been FPS nirvana for me, TFC/TF2 were amazing online team games, Portal was one smooth cool puzzle game and BOY have I had fun in Left 4 Dead. In fact I just booted it up and got a gold medal on a survival level with two of my cousins online. What a blast, Preordered Left 4 Dead 2.

RPG goodness = Dragon Age. Zombie splatterin - Left 4 Dead. Oh and I recently got married so everything else = wife :) Me = happy.

The ironic thing is my wife sometimes sits next to me and watches me playing Left 4 Dead and dishes out advice!! I just love these back street drivers - look there there a zombie!! doesnt help :)

Hah. Congratulations on the recent marriage. My wife doesn't usually sit down and watch me on the "gorey" games like Left 4 Dead. Though she did manage to set the mood for BioShock and creep me out equally as tension and things were building up. Evil woman . Other than that, she really enjoyed watching me play through MGS 3 - it essentially was like a little movie for her.

If folks want another add-on to help through 'Expert' in L4D, throw me a message here and I'll add to another survivor to game with on Steam. I've only really done 'No Mercy', but I pretty much have that down to a tee with all the cheap tactics possible. I've made it my goal to do all the campaigns on 'Expert' - keeps me busy until DAO arrives. And of course I'll play on any difficulty is comfortable for folks, zombie killing is always better with company ^_^

Valve probably didn't make the trailer. Usually game developers hire other professionals who are more specialized in digital movies to make their trailers/cutscenes. Sacred Ash trailer for Dragon Age Origins is one example.

Thanks - yeah my wife says the same - complains that I play a lot of violent games.  She hasn't even seen the blood in DA:O yet :P but its not really violence if you're killing zombies is it? Its either me or them so.... :P Its really nice though when youre other half likes sitting with you and doing these things, guess we are lucky that way. :) Bet she'll be shooting away soon herself, just need to give her some time to get the zombie fever.  Just saw the trailer - these characters look badass!

Looks great. The thing I missed in L4D1 was the melee option. Cant wait to get in there with a chainsaw and cut those zombies down. ^^

I bought the game as soon as it was on Steam, ive watched all the trailers, gameplay and interview videos. Valve just released a new one that is a lot better than that.
