One might as well pick on Wonder Woman.

Pre-Issue #600 Wonder Woman, yes. Post, no. Well, even before that's a bit of a stretch due to her bracers and the skills she has. Plus it depends on which "Red Sonja" you're talking about. The "true" Red Sonya (It's a Y, not a J) was, as far as I'm aware, more sensible with her attire.

I was starting to think I was the only one who have heard of her in the forum...

I don´t think comics are the right place to look for examples. Art is usually too targeted towards a certain public. Is only a matter og time until WW goes back to the former uniform - which divine powers or not, is not something to fight in. Better not to think of Witchblade before Ron Marz took over (first thing he did was going full armor).

Berserk however is a DF setting and the few warrior women go in armor.

Compare the tone of the stories.

You can shoot fireballs from your fingertips and realism is an issue? Yeah right.

It's not the realism, this is a fantasy game, we expect none of this, it's just what we want to see in game and how we can base it off of something that is realistic.

We can't really shoot fireballs out of our fingers, so we can exagerate as much as we want. But we can wear armor, so we try to base it off reality but give it a big of looseness to go off of, so wild and intricate armor that couldnt really happen in the real world would be cool, but having none isnt really even imagining. Infact it leaves very little to the imagination.

And Viking helmets! I can line 5 of them in a row (with Garret Hawk in the middle of course) and choreograph a little jig to the tune of the "Young Men's Chantry Association

And let em make superfancy linedancing to antivian music. During the show Zevran appears and gets thrown around between them! With loose tussled hair. In his unmentionables.

F*ck yeah. :D

Zevran is always in his unmentionables in my game...:wizard: His role is to "stand around and look pretty" and "be all Antivan and sexy". Kind of useless against the Archdemon though.

It wont last. New costumes on iconic characters never make it past a few issues. WW will be back in the star spangled bikini in no time.

Actually WW (and Red Sonja) occasionally did wear armour for large battles. But never against mere mortals.

What I do not want to see is cover-of-Heavy-Metal gratuitous plate bikinis for no reason other than eye candy. THAT, I would have a problem with.

Why is this a problem? I don't get it.

I don't see how anyone could take this seriously.

What? Because the material is not fur or leather anymore you disapprove?

don't know how you jumped to that conclusion.
Whatever the material that outfit is in no way practical.

Yeah, it's not that I don't like it because of the material, it's just stupidly impractical and not at all fitting with the Dragon Age setting, at least what's been established so far. Also, I just don't like the style. I've never liked the Conan/Red Sonja style. It just looks stupid to me.
As I've said, I'm open to the idea of less covering armor for berserkers (there is precedent for it, after all, what with the Picts and everything), but armor that is literally nothing but a chainmail bikini can just vanish forever, as far as I'm concerned.

Red Sonja is a bad example here since she is no ordinary human. Red Sonja received her power from the goddess Scathach, hence she is so good (basically a sword & sorcery superheroine) that she doesn't need any protection in combat. She deliberately wears that outfit to attract men that would force themselves on women, so she could rid the world of them (as she herself was raped by brigands after her family was killed).

One might as well pick on Wonder Woman.

Technically not anymore, they revamped wonder women completely, and it actually looks pretty cool

Really? I seem to remember an few Iconic character "Batman", "Ironman", "Bullseye" all having their costume changed and it seem to stick for like...20 years so far.

I´d rather have Farah and Kayleena . Farah was a slave in both games she appears, at least she had an excuse for her clothing.

She was a bit better in TTT. Personality-wise too.

I just can´t think of an example in a DA like setting where fan service clothing would work. The closest was those Conan scenes, but that was one battle where they wanted to go undetected at least at first. For the big battle they got what armor they could put their hands on.

This is what mods are for.

Take a nude mode. Add a new texture. Voila - Woad Armour.

And it would be entirely consistent with the game's lore, since it doesn't do anything Kaddis doesn't already do.

You know, I ACTUALLY like this idea. If a person is going to wear little armor then have a good reason for them to do so. Although if a player wanted their character to be someone who thought armor was for wimps that would also be reason enough. I don't too much care for the scantily-clad armors (male or female) but I don't think it's bad to have in the game. It's no reason for anyone to get upset really; if you do not like that armor don't wear it. Some people like skimpy armor, why should they not have some things in the game for them? Anyway, this is a neat idea and should be implemented into future titles, whether some people agree with it or not.

Why can't an armor show case a woman's heavenly form? I still don't get this.

I will only support chainmail thongs on the women in Thedas if the men wear the exact same get-up. I have always wanted a medieval fantasy version of the Village People.

And you do get it. (Or you can, if you shut your eyes really hard and utilize just a teensy bit of what is obviously a tectonic-sized brain.)

With oiled upperbodys pretty pretty please.

And nipple rings. For the men, of course.
