Pre-Issue #600 Wonder Woman, yes. Post, no. Well, even before that's a bit of a stretch due to her bracers and the skills she has. Plus it depends on which "Red Sonja" you're talking about. The "true" Red Sonya (It's a Y, not a J) was, as far as I'm aware, more sensible with her attire.virumor wrote...
One might as well pick on Wonder Woman.

You can shoot fireballs from your fingertips and realism is an issue? Yeah right.

With oiled upperbodys pretty pretty please.
And Viking helmets! I can line 5 of them in a row (with Garret Hawk in the middle of course) and choreograph a little jig to the tune of the "Young Men's Chantry Association
Rofl
And let em make superfancy linedancing to antivian music. During the show Zevran appears and gets thrown around between them! With loose tussled hair. In his unmentionables.
F*ck yeah.

Actually WW (and Red Sonja) occasionally did wear armour for large battles. But never against mere mortals.ROD525 wrote...
It wont last. New costumes on iconic characters never make it past a few issues. WW will be back in the star spangled bikini in no time.

Zevran is always in his unmentionables in my game...His role is to "stand around and look pretty" and "be all Antivan and sexy". Kind of useless against the Archdemon though.

Red Sonja is a bad example here since she is no ordinary human. Red Sonja received her power from the goddess Scathach, hence she is so good (basically a sword & sorcery superheroine) that she doesn't need any protection in combat. She deliberately wears that outfit to attract men that would force themselves on women, so she could rid the world of them (as she herself was raped by brigands after her family was killed).Big_Chief wrote...
Yeah, it's not that I don't like it because of the material, it's just stupidly impractical and not at all fitting with the Dragon Age setting, at least what's been established so far. Also, I just don't like the style. I've never liked the Conan/Red Sonja style. It just looks stupid to me.GodWood wrote...
don't know how you jumped to that conclusion.joriandrake wrote...
What? Because the material is not fur or leather anymore you disapprove?GodWood wrote...

Why is this a problem? I don't get it.What I do not want to see is cover-of-Heavy-Metal gratuitous plate bikinis for no reason other than eye candy. THAT, I would have a problem with.
I don't see how anyone could take this seriously.
Whatever the material that outfit is in no way practical.
As I've said, I'm open to the idea of less covering armor for berserkers (there is precedent for it, after all, what with the Picts and everything), but armor that is literally nothing but a chainmail bikini can just vanish forever, as far as I'm concerned.
One might as well pick on Wonder Woman.
Technically not anymore, they revamped wonder women completely, and it actually looks pretty cool

Why can't an armor show case a woman's heavenly form? I still don't get this.
I will only support chainmail thongs on the women in Thedas if the men wear the exact same get-up. I have always wanted a medieval fantasy version of the Village People.
And you do get it. (Or you can, if you shut your eyes really hard and utilize just a teensy bit of what is obviously a tectonic-sized brain.)
With oiled upperbodys pretty pretty please.
