They won't. They get along pretty well, at least politically. Anora can lead and Alistair is willing to learn. Good choice.

It might be about Defrosting the Ice Queen. But I personally just see her as someone who...in private...might actually be very nice, and only acts tough in public for appearances. As for Alistair...I too wish to know why he invokes so much squeeing, because I see many women squee over him but never provide reason.

Indeed it might...but you got about 30+ years to prove you're a guy worth knowing. Also if your Warden avoid's those "women on the side" like Cailen she might actually think your interested.

They are for me as well...however she is a tad extreame about manipulating people. Unless you prove you don't hate her or want power I see her trying to manipulate you quite offten.

LOL  Considering all the human models in the game have the same abs...  David Gaider has said Alistair is a "woobie, but not a very obvious one."  Meaning he's someone you want to hug and make it all better.  I can see that.

Anora is probably along the same lines as Morrigan.  Tough nut and men want to be the one guy who can make her crack and get to the gooey middle.

Anyone else get annoyed that at Vigil she addresses all the in depth darkspawn questions to Varrel, when your character at the point is the in depth authority of such things?    (I assume this is as much to make Varrel feel good as anything)

Well to be fair, we don't actually know what the hell happened, we just arrived. Varel witnessed the assault from the beginning, so he would provide a better account of what transpired.

Though yes, perhaps protocol should have made Anora ask us first and then we defer to Varel.

I guess he is, but the fact that he's not very obvious makes him a much more appealing than one than say, Aeirie in BG2.

Well I guess there is some relativity in "obvious"

Some early TV tropes enteries had him pegged as a woobie from the get go.    I also had him pegged as one from my first play through.   I think a lot of what he does is pretty overtly woobie-ish.    But maybe not to the degree of characters like Aerie of BG II and Schleprock of the Flintstones.   But he's about on par with Lana Lang of Smallville (a recognized iconic woobie among that fan base).

Indeed I thought the same as well in regards to that scene. But that fails to diminish my curiosity about my Warden gettin some lovin for his efforts....observe Exhibit A
