I have Hughes net satelite internet and am trying to host a server. I have upgraded to a static IP. For some reason when I start the server it appears in histroy and favorites on gamespy but not on the internet listing. Anyone have any ideas on whats not working right?

It's like that for me when I host my server as well but only for the computers in my house. Everyone else says it's on the GS RP list and can see it just fine. *shrugs* What's the server name and maybe someone can go and look to see if it shows up for them?

Thats the server name and its in action. I also have a router but even if I remove router it doesn't seem to show. I am at a loss on what to try.

I can see it fine
(It has a horrid ping tho. 1342. I am UK and get 200-220ish for west coast US servers as a comparison.)
Anyway, not sure why you can't see it, but it is there. (If you need to connect try going through the LAN option.)
Good Luck

Yep me too. I can see it just fine. As long as you can login yourself and players can see it on GS I'd not worry about it.
If it's not broken don't fix it!

I got things figured out I just had to start from the beginning and test out some. Thanks for all the help. The ping must be because its satelite internet, not sure.

Yeah ping will be satellite. High latency. Nothing you can do about that
