Found this video, don't know if it's been posted yet, so sorry if I'm tardy to the party.

Looks like that's not the exaggerated portion. Still, I'm content with the combat.

Odd that he changes armor when they pan to the other game.

It's a starting armor and I think that's 'normal'.

But yeah, I really doubt they are going to make different animations based on difficult level. People need to accept they moved from Origins style to a more cartoonish and stylized game.

My feelings exactly. It may feel more cinematic to some... to me (personal opinion) it feels.... naruto styled. I hate Naruto to the point that i watched it only once in my life.

It boils down to personal preference. I quite digg the new style, in fact. Origins took itself a bit too serious and the combat was a bit too clunky for my tastes. Ah well, I'll be fine either way so long as the story is good.

I will say that the goal of making the game more responsive seems to have paid off. I'm impressed with how snappy it all moves. Good work BioWare. No more shuffling!

Its a damn telephone pole.

Well, I did a size comparison earlier-- wasn't very good, so I tried again-- still isn't very good, but here it is anyway:

It doesn't actually seem that much bigger.

Just my opinion, but I've followed the info about DA: 2 from the beginning. I didn't mind the cosmetic changes (thank GOD I can customize Hawke though. He looks stupid IMO), but the tidbits of the storyline that I've heard didn't interest me in the least, and I REALLY don't like the look of the combat / movement that I've seen in the the 3 videos that I've watched.

I'll try to keep an open mind. But so far, probably renting first.

IS THIS THE REAL DRAGON AGE

IS THIS JUST DMC

CAUGHT IN A GENERIC HACK 'N SLASHAN

NO ESCAPE FROM CONSOLIZATION

Using the exaggerated combat part as the demo was a bad move.

I like it. I just wish they would show a sword and shield warrior versus the two-hander.

Exactly, some people will like it, some people won't. World would be better if they just agreed to disagree and discussed matters in a calm fashion.

If you don't like the combat think of it as just a big minigame to get to the story.

Everyone has to realize they are playing it on an XBOX 360 so gameplay versus the PC version will be considerably different. T

I meant that it went that fast. They pan at 18 and come back at 26, with him wearing another armor. And using a different sword.

sadLOL... you are not getting it...

It doesn't matter if it is the same size as Origins'. The point is it should be SMALLER. They've redone the anims, now it looks faster, plays faster, the sword 'feels' lighter, but it doesn't look as such.

The combat on PC looks the same, the controls are different.

Personally, I'd hate to see Dragon Age becoming more cartoonish. I like games that take themselves seriously.

And that's all there is to it? Winning? You guys are disgusting.

It's not winning. Nobody ever wins. It is just that some things never changes. And while I can understand it, I don't cry "demagogy" when I'm the first doing it.

The first thing before one speak of facts should be at last informing oneself and understanding the whole of the argument (not only a part of it, or what you want it to be), the second is that if you come to a forum speaking of that "facts" and others try to make you understand the fallacies on some of them you don't just bury your head in the sand faking that nobody said anything. That's an insult to others. The third is that if you insult others you should not pretend others to don't do the same. Or at last not me, different temperaments assume different reactions.

The PC wouldn't change the animations or the speed of the combat. It would look less like a hack and slash because people would pause to select abilities and such, while with the xbox you just need to press a button and it happens. If people watched the little description of waht's happening below the health bar perhaps they's see that there are several abilities in use. Meaning it's really not an hack and slash.
