This is probably a bad idea.

Really though, the people currently on top of this are pretty much exclusively hardcore forumites clawing for any information they can find. Let's see how it's received when BioWare actually releases something officially... of course, that has its own biases, doesn't it? I guess we'll have to wait for the sales numbers. Which may never get released. Oh well.

If Mass Effect 2, with all its gameplay changes and the wailing and gnashing of teeth and moaning that the game is awful and predictions of failure are anything to go by...

Dragon Age 2 sales will crush its predecessor.

I actually like this sword, you whyners better not cause it to get removed.

It is relatively well known that those who don't like things make a bigger noice than those who do.

You're reaching now. They can't give a text book on The Revised Laws of Physics: Thedas and expect you to read it before you play the game. No one would buy it.

*glances at stack of DnD books*

I'd say it's a rather different story when you're given a very broadly defined world, a set of rules and told 'have fun!' than when you're playing a CRPG that is rather more focused.

I mean, when I play D&D, I want to know whether or not that rubble is going to be heavy enough to crush the ogre beneath it as I cleverly apply force to dislodge some rocks from the ceiling. When I play a CRPG, however, I'd rather the engine and the designers take care of it for me.

Which, of course, opens an entirely different can of worms re: physics and freedom in video games (ah, the glorious future that Red Faction seemed to hint at), but that's a discussion for another time.

Do you two really have to act so smug? I mean, you've won. You got the game you wanted and the devs aren't going to change it. Why not go home and toast or something?

Judging from the comments on youtube and gametrailers discontent isn't just limited to a small fraction of overcritical whingers on these forums as some devs would like to believe.

Bioware knew the risks of not releasing any gameplay videos and show the demo to the public at events, it was a matter of time to someone release a video that would cause confusion.

Now they need to release a video to undo that and make things clear.

I was afraid of this, some poeple destroy EVERYTHING.

And some people will turn into overreacting drama queens. I wonder when the "boycotts" will start, if there isn't already one.

What are you talking about? The gameplay is fine to me, but I still have a fundamental problem with the darkspawn.

Jesus H....no one won anything here.

True.

Say didn't you guys release some kind of table top for DA? Is that any fun?

You do realize that sword is in Origins. It is the Qunari 2h sword model. How Hawke has a Qunari blade is a mystery though.

The entirety of my feedback re: Weapon models and such is 'just make it so I can still do an over-the-shoulder shot from the player'.

Now, if you want us to use an FoV of 34 instead of 32 for over-the-shoulder shots, we can talk business.

Good grief - how many times does it need to be repeated that the gameplay was from the exaggerated portion of the game? You know, the part where VARRIC is describing how things went down. But yes, go ahead and judge the entire game based on less than two minutes of gameplay! Many people already seem predisposed to do so anyway.

This doesn't change the absolutely horrible animations, derpspawn jumping around and looking about as stupid (hurdurf spikes!) as if this was a DW game, and the bland, bland environment. If this wasn't what they wanted people to see and associate with the game, then why would they show nothing but this for over two months? It is kind of cute that you think that all will be well in the morning, though.

When did I say that, exactly? You are misinterpreting what I said, not to mention being insultingly condescending. I merely stated a fact that people seem to keep ignoring in their panic, but your enlightened post has absolutely caused me to reconsider my evil ways! Why should I even consider behaving in reasonable, calm manner and waiting for a more complete version of the game before passing judgment? Horrors!

That's sarcasm if you can't tell.

To one talking about swords, there's a large Qunari plot in the game, and that's assuming it is a Qunari sword.

And no, that's not the same model

Never played it, actually! I don't have nearly as much time for P&P RPGs as I'd like - been working through a D&D 4E campaign and a D20 Modern campaign over the last.. year and a half?

From what I've heard, it's pretty good. You Should Buy Three Hundred Copies *waves hand*

But more seriously, I don't have any experience with it, so I can't do more than pass on what I've heard from others.

You have your Dynasty warriors and Dynasty Age 2, while we got nothing. The derpspawn should just be a mere setback for you guys, no?

ME2 didn´t change that much, and in gameplay it became less exagerated, not more.

I hate the "fast" and over the top combat. It's So annoying. is anyone else reminded of Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry? I'm sorry but this game isnt the type of game to have this sort of combat overthetopness. It's not the games job. the games job is to deliver a good rpg. over the top huge sword swings and uber moves where you slice every mob around you through is devil may crys job.. I'm sorry but it is. I hate this new combat. It doesn't feel like Dragon age tome
