What is the "fashion" way of roleplaying games
Open world exploration. Isn't that what they were trying to be back in the day? That's all I can come up with.
The fashion way of roleplay is referred about that people who thinks a roleplay game is a game where you can get different items and earn level or raise skills only..Also is referred at those games considered rpg with trash elements but protected by an army of fanboys that thinks they are roleplay game example:
Sacred
Sacred 2
Fable series

People who said they would like for DA2 to be like Beserk..in some ways, why not? But not too much. Beserk is darkdarkDARK...and also awesome.
Yes i agree berserk is nice... I refferred to this series to show the game animations.. In fact berserk sword animation are exaggerrated but look WAY better than the flashi skating anims of DA2.. For show people im a not a close minded but exist difference between stylish and horrible..

Let me get this straight: people don't trust BioWare because of a bad, two min vid of the console version of a game before actuality seeing official footage? This does not compute =/
Don't try to understand their logic, it will only send you into a spiral of confusion ending in flames and despair. And peanut butter cups.

So, can you actually -see- the text the character is going to say or do one has to guess every time, and load the game over a thousand times throughout the game?
Regards.

Hey, is the dialogue system going to be like Mass Effect much? I would prefer it was not. I don't know how many times I re-loaded the game just because Shepard was saying something I really did not expect. That ruins the feeling for me.

It's similar to the ME system, but there will be tone icons indicating the style of your replies whether sarcastic, aggressive.... etc, it's certainly a better system than ME, we'll have to see how well it works.

it's similar to mass effect but in DA2 there'll be an intention icon (peaceful, agressive, and more) so that'll help to avoid such situations.

I don't...not anymore at least. I've been where you are, but after seeing and playing DA2 myself, that changed. It's still feels like DA, imo and it's quite awesome actually :-)Shappy1010 wrote...
I think this is the best post which sums it all up, I'm trying to keep an open mind, I don't want to sound like a nerdy old skool RPG lover, but we all have a feeling a line has been crossed here by more then a mile.Biefstukfriet wrote...
I always give Bioware the benefit of the doubt, but this is pushing it...
So, stay open minded and wait until you see more, especially the stuff AFTER the exaggerated beginning.
SystemlordBaal's post from the bottom of the last page is worth quoting, in case anybody missed it.

They look like like infected humans with some kind of disease. The design didn't strike
the first time but i think the new desing is growing into me. I wonder what genlocks and broodmothers look like. hmmm.
