I love the way Lady Hawke holds the giant sword with one hand, resting it on her shoulders.
Actually, I hated it. Really took me out of the game.

I haven't looked at the other pages, as I just wanted to post my thoughts immediately, so my apologies if I talk about things that were already addressed...
I saw the trailer, and I thought (as Brock said in another thread) that there were too many body explosions. I thought the violence could have looked more realistic than bombastic, but right now it looks kinda ridiculous.
A few things I want to point out/have concerns about:
-The class/gender select screen was set up very much like the first KOTOR. I thought it was funny.
-On the selection of classes, only rogues and warriors were highlighted, while mage selection looked like it was darked. Are we to imply that one has to UNLOCK the mage class??!! If so that REALLY sucks. Forces players already to play a certain way at the start.
-Initial clothing on all class/gender combos looked allright, though Rogue outfits looked kinda bulky from that video.
-No, you do not have to unlock the mage class. It was not playable on the show floor.
-Clothing will be different when we ship.
Thank you, Mike

Ya, but by the looks of it, that sword was a qunari sword. So, it is likely that the average qunari sword would be bigger than the average human sword.

Keep in mind that's the "exaggerated" part. Varric is embellishing the story. That's also why only Hawke and Bethany are there. When the "real" story starts, Mama Hawke and Carver are there too.PureMethodActor wrote...

Feels weird seeing that again...makes my thumbs twitch. I wish I could play it again. While I was playing, I certainly felt a difference when I was using a 2-hander. Perhaps it's because I started as a rogue and only did warrior on my 2nd playthrough, but it was way slower than the rogue's weapons (though still, as you can see, quite fast).

no doubt a qunari could swing a20lb sword through multiple darkspawn like a hot knife through butter

I wish I had a better way to put this, but it's the width of the sword more than the length. That is what makes it unconvincing when Hawke swings it around like it weighs 2 pounds. The sword needs to look lighter.

You don'thave no right to criticize my personal opinion or "taste" just as much I don't have the right to criticize yours.

Small detail that I noticed: I love the way the mini-map looks.
I'd like it to have a "fog of war" effect that disappears as you uncover more ground, it helps you remember what parts you have/haven't explored yet.

To be fair, criticizing one's taste requires that one have a taste.
He's saying you don't. That's not criticizing.
