I have purchased 1200 points in order to buy new contect for ME2, but the points are not being recognized when it comes time to check out.

I purchased it through PayPal, the money has already been removed from my account and I have a transaction and invoice number. I have used this method in the past and the points have been warded instantly.

Any suggestions on what to do?

I have made attempts to email BioWare or find a phone number, but to no avail...

I would have suggested contacting BioWare. Has BioWare responded? If so what did they say?

P.S. You should try to contact EA as well.

I couldn't find a phone number or email, but I checked the Paypal dispute center and got EA's automated response with contact info...

Tel: 866-543-5435

Email: support@ea.com

I would have thought of BioWare support, but big brother better work....I want that content! :)

Ok, so the email I sent at support.ea.com, got an automated reply saying that email address is not the place to send emails. Even though I got the email address from the Paypal transaction info. I had to log into EA.com and submit a question.

Hopefully in 24 hours they will respond.

Anyone else having issues like this? EA/BioWare, please stand up?

I'm having the exact same problem.

I tried Wallie cards, and even an EA game card and neither have worked. Bioware took my money BOTH times but did not give me any points. My point balance is zero. I am upset to say the least.

Same problem. I also did not receive points the second time I bought them, although the third purchase did work.

It is a bit strange that they haven't provided any contact information on the website. The FAQ only mentiones help.bioware.com but that link does not work.

And indeed, customerservice@ea.com, which was provided by PayPal as a contact, does not help allow you to send emails to it directly either.

If anyone comes to this thread looking for help with the same issue, go to support.ea.com and create a question (the link on the left called: E-mail us), or contact them through chat (the option will be provided, depending on the kind of question you send). They successfully addressed my issue.

Hi! They addressed your issue finally??? I have had my question open for 15 days and no response. I have updated it every few days. What was your incident number? Mine is 100928-045837.

I finally opened a PayPal dispute for either a refund or the points. I'm sketchy in using like a debit card or something because it is an issue on their end, not the funds.

Same problem here, wanted to buy 1200 points for ME DLC, got the receipt from paypal and was thrown back to the ME website without a point added to my account... Shame on those 15$... Gonna contact EA for that!

Update: Talked with EA tech support through live chat - problem resolved in less than 10 minutes with almost no questions asked. Wish it didn't happen but still glad problem resolved in the end.

Same problem, live chat was no help was told to wait. I did however make an additional purchase via my credit card, no issues, instant credit of bioware points. I did find links to other forum threads via google, that indicate purchasing bioware points via paypal/firefox results in a "pending" status...I know I was served up a bad link after clicking the buy button from paypal and my account shows the purchase in a pending state.

If it's a known issue I wish they'd put a large warning up, or fix whatever the issue is...assuming there is indeed an issue.

I really hope I don't have to dispute this through paypal. :(

I just got through using ea.com Live Chat support. First time, I had the same response as another person in the thread did, I was told to wait a few hours. I did, and this time they gave me the points :). Just be sure to have a copy of the paypal confirmation. All in all, I'd say EQ has pretty good CS. :)

Same deal with me, after going through EA's live chat (twice) they escalated the problem. But I've not heard back yet (not even to acknowledge the second line request) - seems the people in the live chat either can't or won't resolve this issue. - Not helpful :(

I tried to purchase BW Points via Paypal and it didn't work. So I tried twice more after that it didn't work I searched "Bioware Paypal" and checked my Paypal account to see if I was charged for the purchases. Lo and behold, I was! Now, the EA support will give my 3x the amount of points I intended to purchase, but will not refund my money. I'd rather get all my money back and no Bioware Points than get a bunch of points I never intended to purchase.

Smells like a scam to me.

Just when I thought I could save myself the hassle of having to type out my card details with lack of hindsight used my paypal account and like everyone else recieved no points but still got charged. Gonna contact them later on live chat but if I dont see a resolution in the next few days i'm disputing PP for a refund.

Edit - Just to update if you have a similar issue like people have said go to support.ea.com/chat, wait 5-10 min for a rep then just explain the transaction didnt redeem any points, had mine added to my account on the spot.

Bought some Bioware points using Paypal and whilst the purchase went through, the points didn't come. Stuck on "Pending" for about an hour.

Ty to ragnarok100 for suggesting the chat option at support.ea.com/chat- a friendly person named Gavin resolved my problem in about ten minutes; he appeared to add the points manually. I asked him for advice in case I wanted to purchase more points for more DLC and he said it wouldn't be a problem anymore, whatever that means lol.

Pleasantly surprised at the customer service.

Agreed. Paypal bought points did not get added, but Nancy in Livechat quickly added them for me. Will use a credit card next time. All this for the Lair DLC...

Same issue here. All good now.

Very quick resolution via on-line chat support. Took about 10 minutes and my points were added. Make sure you have a screen cap proving PayPal transaction available.

Same issue with two consecutive paypal transactions.

Solved using the ea live chat support as others suggested, they added the points quickly, spent about 10 minutes in chat plus other 10 or so in queue, only asked for email and birthdate of my ea account and confirmation of the points amount. Pretty efficient :)

Same issue. I just wasted A$ 22.48 on 1600 points and this happens.

On top of that, I can't even access the on-line "chat support", or support.ea.com!

You tried to access the address http://support.ea.com/, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.

Err....any other leads? -snip-

Edit: Never mind about the website issues. Was my fault for not looking around enough.
Turns out all I had to do was disable ECN Capability. All my problems have now been fixed~
