I am curious about how different people played this fight.  I have seen posts where one guy says he used double singularities on each "car", another person used arc projector on each one.
I first did soldier (level 12) and had a hard time killing all the guys on first car fast enough and the second car would arrive and I got caught in a cross fire.  After a bunch of deaths, I used avalanche (about 5 rounds) to freeze everyone in first car, then killed up close.  Then took defensive position to left (looking at it from original start of fight) of where it landed.  If you position there the car does not land there (goes somewhere else).  I defended this position and had a lot less trouble.
With adept did same thing, but easier because singularity can arc over cars to engage bad guys.
It is a good fight and I appreciate that it took a while to figure out how to not get killed.  Would like to know what other people did.
Thanks.

Prime the cars as they land with an Area Overload. Follow up with a Singularity or Warp bomb, and the only real threat remaining should be the Engineer.

And try not to let incoming cars land on you. That was my most embarrassing Mass Effect 2 death ever.

Ya, id just slash them with Overload and hit um with Reave as soon at the car lands. Then just mop up the rest.

Stasis the engineer, overload the mooks, hit adrenaline rush, and turn everyone into paste. Kinda like this

Although I gotta admit lvl 12 is pretty early to do LotSB.

Yeah, that wouldn't have put me in a good mood.

Hit the idiots in the car with the Arc Projector, Liara Singularity and Garrus hit the Engineer with Overload.

The Charge in with my shotgun.

Absurdly easy.

My Soldier did 14 Inferno ammo headshots, if I recall correctly. Miranda and Liara were making out, as far as I could tell.

My Vanguard... did what Vanguards do. Repeatedly. With Warp ammo. It was fun.

I'm pretty sure Liara and Garrus were doing something back there, but I wasn't really paying attention.

Thanks, I played the mission before I looked at any videos, and I saw sinosleep's video before I posted this ( I'd get killed a bunch of times if I tried that - way too dangerous for me ). On the 14 headshots - where were you? I could not shoot them fast enough to avoid the second car arrival unless I used avalanche.

Happened to me once. I used ghost and walk cheats to proceed.

I just did this the other day, insanity. First time ever on a soldier. For the approach I'm going to suggest, it is very important to hit the shuttle as soon as it is targetable with an area overload. That means very fast and accurate positioning of your squad in your first fight positions. Then you immediately focus on the spawn point for the first shuttle. Hit it early with an overload. Maybe use AR to help you out if you're having trouble. Then get as fast as you can to your anticipated shuttle land point.

By the time it lands, your squadmates area overload should be up again. Hit them again, immediately followed by liara's heavy singularity. Finish them off doing your soldier thing, or use the arc projector. Get this done fast, re-emplace your squad for next incoming shuttle, and get in that early overload. That worked for me consistently on insanity for many classes, soldier included, going in as early as possible as a lower level character.

I've only done LotSB with my NG+ Infiltrator so far. I positioned the squad in the centre area with the plants, as it has cover from almost every angle. Garrus' Area Overload on the car, Liara's Stasis on the Engineer, my own Neural Shockwave to disable all the enemies, refresh Stasis as necessary while Locust + Cryo deals with the mess on the floor.

Worked great when I got there in time to do it right. Got real messy whenever I didn't.

Arc really saved that one. With less than insanity difficulties, it didn't really matter what the heck I did. Just use cover, spam powers and shoot. But with insanity, that got totally impossible. Cover didn't matter as there were so many of them you'd need to recover health and shields three times to even get to kill one, and if they simply happened to start moving in several at once, then there was nothing you could do. They'd just overrun the covers and shoot you down in under a second.

So after trying to do it the hard way for about an hour, I just started spamming 2 x Arc + Singularity + Warp bomb on every cart of mercs they wheeled in. Then pick out the surviving few while the next cart is on the way.

On insanity, as a soldier with Miranda (plus Liara of course), I just made miranda cast area overload + Liara's wide singularity, popped AR with my mattock (inferno rounds), and turned each car into a firey tornado. Literally killed just about everyone in each car by the time AR would end.

It reminded me of the old days in ME1 when I had my soldier with singularity as a bonus talent (red sand, lulz).

As an adept on insanity, I'll have Garrus use area overload on the three Shadow Broker agents while I use pull field on them before the first hovercar lands. Then I'll just follow up with unstable warp and repeat for the other cars. I'll use stasis (both mine and Liara's) on the engineers and deal with them later or try to take the engineers out before the next hovercar lands.

Definitelly the easyest and the fastest way to complete that fight.

Area overload, singularity, warp bomb. Clean up the engineer if it's still alive. Rinse, repeat. Adept is the cake.

Also did this as on adept...~level 17 though. Anyways, toughest part are the combat drones so just stasis engineer, singularity + unstable warp bombs do a good enough job cleaning the other mooks out.

Who finds enemy flash grenades the second most annoying thing ever? I suppose its just cause i'm careless, but I lost track of the number of times I missed a grenade on health only and got knocked out of cover => death

I prefer pull field over singularity as an adept since it travels quicker.

For yanking enemies out of cover yeah. But I usually use singularity for the hold effect so my teammates and I can strip the shields off and start the BOOM.

On my first playthrough, Liara and Tali died quickly into the fight before I could position them. I pretty much stayed in between the rows of planters and took out the mercs one by one with Adrenaline rush combined with Imp. GSB. Almost died a couple times, on insanity. You shouldn't get flanked if you can take them out fast enough.

I'm one of those players that don't like using Medigel unless it's absolutely necessary lol.

Kepping the engineer quiet is important. It's already been said, but stasis the engineer and take care of the rest (area overload or arc projector), then finish off the engineer

I've only played through it on Veteran difficulty so far, but it wasn't anything special. Just the usual hide-behind-cover, pop out and blast enemies when there's a break in the fire strategy. A Singularity from Liara when the trucks land is a good way to give yourself a initial leg-up when they arrive though.

Zaxares, the reason this fight is a little unusual is that there are a bunch of enemies landing at different places. On hardcore and insanity they have shields up, and the engineers use the drone and incenerate a lot ( maybe not so much on veteran ). You notice that everyone in this thread says lock down the engineers. Its kinda like Halo in that on the higher difficulties enemies are not just harder, they also have weapons( halo ) or abilities ( ME2 ) that are not used on lower difficulty settings.
