I find it a bit sexist to consider only the ME women oversexualized. Also, the motivational is not mine.

EDIT: The point of this thread is not to prove that ME2's characters weren't oversexualized but to dismiss any claims that 'Bioware is sexist'. Both male and female characters are oversexualized.

Bah, damn my english. I said oversexed. What I meant was oversexualized ? Yeah, anyway, just because Miranda is oversexualized, it doesn't meant that the game is sexist.

The point I am trying to make is that Bioware isn't being sexist.

I'd blame the demographics imho, a lot of the people that actually buy the game are under 20 years old.

I wasn't even aware there were complaints of sexism or sexualization (not a word) in Mass Effect. The game does the best job of any in making relationships and sexual encounters feel natural and plausible. It can't be perfect, and no game ever will be, because it is probably impossible to mimic true human emotion/lust and still have it be entertaining to play. Movies can pull it off (not a sexual pun) because you are only watching, not participating.

Just for a frame of reference, I am wholly disturbed by what goes on with Samus in Other M, but I had no problems with anything I saw in Mass Effect 1 or 2.

A thread about 'Bioware being sexist' did exist, but it got locked after a few pages.

Dictionary.com thinks it has been a word since the mid 1800s.

1) The close-ups of female characters backsides and chests with the character actually speaking in long focus in the background. Nice choice of angle... facepalm.

2) The outfits that no one would actually wear in combat... especially Samara...

I think it looks stupid and makes the game look immature and childish.
So yes it is a bad thing.

Women are pigs. They only think about sex. It's why Bioware had to cater to them by putting a half naked guy in Mass Effect 2.

As soon as we see a Jacob version of this shot, I'll agree the sexualization is equal.
