So after a while, I found I was posting pics in several different threads, so not everyone could see every character I've ever made, and certainly not all of them could see the characters I was most proud of character-creation-wise.
So I just had a random thought. Since Bioware games focus on detailed character creation in this millenium thus far since the first Mass Effect, and since it is SO hard at times to use the character creation in either Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2 or Dragon Age Origins, sometimes we feel lucky if we get even a passable character at all.
It would be cool if we each posted two of our characters that we were most
attractive to us, the creators of our respective characters, and showed
them off for all to see as well as compliment/admire others work.
I'll start with my two characters as an example, but here are the rules:
-I'm only starting with Mass Effect and Dragon Age series' for now since past Bioware games (that I know well) have only had preset faces or bodies. I honestly never played the Baldur's Gate series or Neverwinter
Nights, so if either of these games had a cool face-creator like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, by all means use those characters.
-Depending on which of the two series' you own... post either one male and one female (can be from either series or one from each), two males (one from each series), two females (one from each series), and obviously if you only own one of the series you can do any of the choices with your particular series
-I'm leaving the cap to two characters because a)its a good number given I focused on Dragon Age and Mass Effect and giving an opportunity for you to post the best from each, and
-This is kind of an artistic-related topic, as we're showing off our best-looking characters, so characters modded and unmodded are allowed and welcome. This isn't a competition and the point is to share creations you're
personally proud of. The only characters you can't post are default models, such as Sheploo or default Couslands, etc. You had to have modified the face to your preference. If you feel like you can't post because you couldn't make a character you thought looked good, don't! Post your best, even if you feel you don't like it. People can find beauty in any shape and form. I learned this after I was so terrified my characters would be considered
ugly, but found a warm reception from others about them.
-After you post the pics, tell us a little bit about your character. Can be anything really, but I'm sure most people will be interested in finding out classes, specializations, backgrounds/origins, and even their lovers
(at least I'll be interested). Anyway those are just ideas. Put whatever fun info you want.
-I don't think this'll be a problem, but lets please not diss anyone's creations. Constructive criticism is fine if done respectfully. Lets keep it fun, people
Allright, anything else I think up I'll edit, but basically thats it. We're showing off the two best-looking characters in our minds.
Anyway, as I said, I'll start:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MY BEST-LOOKING DRAGON AGE ORIGINS CHARACTER:

Name: Sundira Aeducan
Political/Military Status: Member of the Royal Family of Orzammar, Commander of the Grey
(Ferelden), Paragon
class: Rogue
Specialization(s): Duelist, Legionnaire Scout
Background before his/her rise: Dwarf Noble of House Aeducan
So Who's the lucky guy/gal in a relationship with this character?: Alistair,
and he's damn proud of it, I bet
Living Relatives: Bhelen (younger brother, current King of Orzammar)
Do you think said living relatives are proud of this character? Or if there are
no living relatives, do you think your character's close family members WOULD
be proud of your character's actions and accomplishments?:
-I think so, yes. Sundira's relationship with her brother was rocky, especially
with her framing and exile, but she grew to know that it was necessary and her
brother was the rightful king and savior of Orzammar, so she cooperated, and
soon found her efforts repaid, starting with her status granted back and her
being named a Paragon.
Fun OOC fact/opinion about this character you'd like to share: I just wanted to
say that when it comes to female characters, I have a lot of trouble trying to
make them look good, and by accident usually I end up making them wierd with an
excess of make-up (usually dark or bright make-up, nothing in the middle), or
at times I don't put enough and these characters look too plain. Sundira is the
first female character I created where I threw away my previous methods, only
added as much make-up as I felt absolutely necessary, and left the rest up to natural
beauty. My new techniques paid off, imo, as I'm extremely proud of this
character.
-Also, current armor: Wades Superior Dragonskin armor
MY BEST-LOOKING MASS EFFECT SERIES CHARACTER:

Name: Jae Shepard
Race: Predominantly Korean, but some caucasian (of unspecified nationality)
mixed in.
Political/Military Status: Citadel Council Spectre
class: Engineer (+ extra Assault Rifle training)
Specialization(s): Mechanic
Background before his/her rise: Spacer, Sole Survivor
So Who's the lucky guy/gal in a relationship with this character?: Tali'Zorah
vas Normandy
Living Relatives: Captain Hannah Shepard (mother, Captain of the SSV Orizaba)
Do you think said living relatives are proud of this character? Or if there are
no living relatives, do you think your character's close family members WOULD
be proud of your character's actions and accomplishments?:
-Yes, Hannah is extremely proud of the work her son Jae has done as an Alliance
Officer and a Spectre. She is happy to know he's still alive and proud that he
has maintained his good moral values while serving the galaxy.
Fun OOC fact/opinion about this character you'd like to share: There are
several I'd like to share-
-The spelling of his name "J-A-E" I believe to be uniquely Korean,
which is part of the reason I picked it. The general character is kind of a
tribute to one of my good friends who I still hang out with from time to time.
-All pics are from Mass Effect 2, because Mass Effect 1, where he still looked
badass, had a wierd hairstyle, and the Mass Effect 2 version makes him look
badass and good imo
-Though the pics don't show the final equipment set, the final armor setup was
as follows: Aegis Vest, Asymmetric Defense Layer, Stabilization Gauntlets,
Stimulator Conduits
