He may not be the prototype of a "brave" hero, andhe may be a bit of a clown sometimes (notice the braid), but he knows when to leave jokes aside and be serious, if only everybody would agree with his opinion on when that time is.
Being the
youngest brother of one of the most powerful families in Ferelden he was pampered and he lived with more freedom than his older brother Fergus, who was raised as heir of the Terynir.

Never a prominent fighter, nor a man born to lead, the tales of the past always fascinated him, he avidly devoured his grandfather's library, and always found time to discuss history with his mentor Aldus. Becoming quite proficient in history, politics, and other areas, not the least of which being mechanics. He spent part of his spare time making traps or tampering with the locks around his family's state. He never really believed in the Maker, but followed the religious rites to the letter, seeing it as a tradition and one more of his duties as a member of the nobility.
He pictured himself in the not so distant future as a scholar of the noble family, married to Delilah Howe or some other woman of another noble family in an arranged marriage. This didn't bother him as he grew up seeing such arrangements between the noble families as something usual; he even fantasized about how his future wife would be.
The politics however, did not develop as he had hoped, as Arl Howe turned against his family and killed most of them, forcing him to join the Grey Wardens. This situation forced him to compensate his lack of fighting ability with finesse and wit. Still a Cousland he used his father's sword shield and armor as soon as he was able to use each one, although not a master of the traditional fighting he became a skilled duelist and developed his archery skills, increasing his options.
He never became a noteworthy tactician but his charm and the knowledge of his companions made him win otherwise impossible fights. He earned the respect and friendship of all of his companions (even Sten, who would not tolerate his jokes at first, developed respect and even some sort of friendship for the warden).
He fell in love with a certain orlesian bard who thought him the tales and the songs that both would be singing together in the battlefield.

Their love was not free of obstacles; both from the inside, some of his opinions regarding the chantry were not the affirmed sister's liking; and from the outside Morrigan tried to seduce him twice, suggesting to have an affair without Leliana's knowledge, and once leliana thought that there was something between the warden and
Zevran... now, that was a surprise! And of course Andrei had to go and tell Zev "Look, nothing between us could work... you are a guy and so am I and such and such", at least he was understanding and they remained as friends.
When Riordan told the wardens about the sacrifice necessary to defeat the archdemon he rejected the idea of making such sacrifice himself.
Morrigan came to him with an alternative, a dark ritual to save his life. But he just couldn't do it, he couldn't spend the night with Morrigan and have a child of him be turned into something... she asked him to tell to Alistair instead, and he did, he started it as a joke:
-Your wildest dreams are about to come true!-he said-.
Andrei could have convinced him, but he didn't want to, Alistair didn't want to do it, it wouldn't have been fair for Alistair.
So Andrei went to Leliana's room, he didn't tell her about Morrigan's ritual, nor about what was necessary to kill the archdemon, he told her that he loved her, that she was the best that ever happened to him; it wasn't
the first time he said this words and she taught him too well how to hide his feelings. And he gave her every gift he
had left, every last Andraste's Grace.

Morrigan wasn't angry at Andrei, she showed herself to be sad about the inevitable outcome. Before leaving her last words words for him were:
-Bye friend. Now I must do what I have to, just like you.

As the inevitable outcome approached, the decision became clear, no one was more surprised than himself, but he couldn't let Alistair die, Ferelden needed his king.

_____
Thanks Bioware for the funeral, I really liked it,... all of his friends were there, his brother was there, even Alistair's mention of Leliana... I'm NOT crying dammit! I just got something in my eye.
Well, this is the Warden I promised to post about. Being a bard and all, the concise "curriculum vitae" style used for the Shepard didn't seem like enough, it felt like his background and choices should define him. I've tried to insist as little as possible on the Dragon Age Storyline as at least most of the people in this forum knows it and it is better told by the game.
I was really surprised that he was so... popular. Morrigan's insistence and even the elf! Looking at poor innocent Andrei somehow that it made Leliana think that there was "something" between them!
So, sorry if it was boring, I have no way to return to you the time you spent reading it but boring posts exist too (it wasn't boring for me to do).

Yes, it is a mod that replaces the faces of Leliana and Morrigan. You can find it here:
http://social.biowar...ct/561/#details
I use the 3.5 version. It fixes both faces but they still look like Morrigan and Leliana.

Name: Aedan
Origin: HN
Mods used: only Vibrant Colors for the eyes
Romance: Womanizer - Iona, Bella, Kaitlyn, Morrigan, etc. He ultimatly fell in love with Leliana.
Endgame: Defeated the blight, did Dark Ritual, Became King (Anora's prince consort whatever), kept hardened Leli as consort.
It wasn't intentional but I guess subconsciously I was trying to make him look like Aragorn and I failed pretty miserably.
Still not satisfied with how much his cheek bones jut out but that beard style locks the cheek, mouth, and jaw and I'm useless with the toolset.

also, interesting info you put there. I made my HMN a womanizer, too, and while hardened Leliana, dumped her for Anora (and OTHER conquests on the side

Brandon Shepard, Colonist, War Hero, Soldier my first complete play thru of Mass Effect 1 & 2. He really grew on me. Mostly Paragon, but can be tough. I really am to newb to the ME franchise to give you all a rundown of my choices, ehem... I flew thru his play thru to fast. I really need to go back and re-do it now that I have done some reading on the forums.

Lots of great looking characters!

Fixed ;P hahaha.

While ME isn't by any means a bad game or anything like that, I just prefer DA. "Men with swords in loinclothes fighting goblins and going on about wenches" and so on and so forth.
Of the few male designs I've tried, I think Radien Tabris is my best one. Completely and utterly hates the shems, almost constantly angry.

But my best design is by far, Yvaine Surana. Cool, collected, cunning mage of the tower (grr) who can sic the elements on you before crushing your very soul.

@Schratty- Strom looks great! Seriously, good job on the realism and hollywood-epic-movie looks. First BLONDE human male warrior I've seen that doesn't look like an Alistair clone (as all the blonde human male warriors I've seen look as such, or Cailan.)
@yasuraka.hakkyou- Radien looks quite good. Its hard to do good male elf faces imo, so especially for that, you did quite well. I can also ask you the same question I asked Saerwen about the tattoo as well
@badboy64- do you happen to have any other pics of your female Cousland? the pic you posted looks very bright and it's kinda hard to see some details.
