A bridge too far.

As in the great movie thing but pretty sad too see those american paratroopers go down because of a tactical mistake.

Oh I forgot, I cried at the end of "Hair" the movie. I basically just missed being old enough to be a hippie and my older brothers were || this close to actually being hippies. So when I watched Hair I first marveled at the dancing integrated into the movie and the story, though changed, made it better in my book. At the end, Claude trades places with the new friend they made and goes to boot camp to pretend to be him so that the other guy can spend more time with the femme fatale.

And then they call 'em all up and have them step to the red line. (If you've ever seen "The Thin Red Line" you know that means that these raw recruits, even before graduating, were being sent to the front and the red line was where they started that fateful journey to Viet Nam.

So of course, they sort of montage the end and Claude is killed and they cut to a scene at the cemetary and I was thinking, "What a bummer. That's pretty sad, just bad timing." And as they sing, "Aquarius" again, they show the headstone and I choke up and cry...

The date of his birth is the Same as Mine! And -- I don't know, I guess it just strengthened the connection I already felt -- and I just started bawling on my girlfriend's shoulder right there in the theater.

Just describing it makes my throat close up a bit and my heart hammer. That was in like, 1978 or '79.

Titanic

Oh, I certainly shed a tear or two to that particular film.
But mostly because of the unpleasant realisation that I had wasted three hours of my life, three hours which I will never get back, on an emotionally infantile trainwreck of a bloated cornfest.
As Leo sunk, my heart rose. I chanted "THE WITCH IS DEAD!" over and over at the top of my voice; discarding clothing all the while and offering a pagan sacrifice to the Gods of Time; beseeching them to never expose my being to such torment again.

I  believe they heeded my plea.

I suffered that movie in the vain hope that Kate Winslet sans clothing would make it bearable. It didn't. Instead I had the selfsame reaction; fits of giggles as Leo kippered it. I also laughed at the end of Steel Magnolias. Emotions, I like. Schmaltz and heartstring-tugging-by numbers... that just brings out the bitter, cynical b*tch in me.

If you want me to cry like a baby... Lelo and Stitch. The whole "this is my family" speech at the end. Thinking about it makes me cry. I used to be hard as stone. Now... bah! Kids! They screw you up! :D

Since I fear dying old and alone, I cried at the beginning of Up.

Since I knew how it was going to end, I cried within the first minute of Grave of the Fireflies when the girl gives the can to her brother to open. I didn't even finish that movie. That's right, one minute into a movie and I was so distraught, I couldn't even finish it.

End of Pan's Labyrinth.
The doctor's death scene in Pan's Labyrinth.
In Pan's Labyr...ah forget it, lets just say Pan's Labyrinth made me cry!
Moon, again pretty much the whole film, though the telephone call bit really made me cry the most.
Big Daddy's death scene in Kick-Ass, while not outright cry, does make my eyes watery.
Probaby more that I can't remember at the mo.

Seriously, I am a man, please don't make me check in my balls! :crying:

moon was great, especially the end

As embarrassing as it is to say this, To Wong Foo made me cry back when I was a kid and it was about drag queens...

Recent movies, Moon at the last conversation "Bring me back a piña colada. All right, pal?" always gets me. And even though it's not new, I recently watched Schindler's List again for the second and final time. That movie is like Edward Scissorhands gut punching you while you watch a baby unicorn get raped.

Aye, I went in not sure what to expect, and found an awesome film.  The whole ending was just brilliantly done, sad and hopeful at the same time.
