Issue #5 of IDW's Dragon Age comic series is on shelves tomorrow. Check your local comic shop!

"Captured by the templars and revealed to be a mage, Gleam finds herself bound for the Circle Tower, the last place a wielder of magic would want to go. But templars aren’t the only danger in the woods, as Gleam must confront ...a monstrous spider whose venom can kill in an instant!"

I'm guessing there's still no word on these being turned into a graphic novel as the mass effect ones where?

Of course it'll be collected in a graphic novel.  The companies design these multi-issue arcs specifically with graphic novel format in mind, since TPBs/Hardcovers sell better than the individual issues, as well as help bring in new readers to the comics (by being available for purchase in book stores and specialty stores as opposed to just comic stores, which is a much larger potential audience).

Usually, the Trade Paperbacks are released within 6 months to a year after the series completes its single issue run, so I'd imagine they'll aim for a release in early 2011, maybe Spring.  If I were a betting man, I'd say IDW would try to release the collected edition around the time DA2 is released in March, to take advantage of cross promotion.

Which means we'll probably see the collected edition solicited in the next few months (assuming #6 comes out on time within a month or so).

You can get 1 on the Kindle. It is frame by frame, but still better than nothing. And if you don't have a Kindle, no complaints, no worries. Download the free Kindle App for the PC (or other device). It's better that way, anyway, because on the PC it's in color (I imagine it would be the same on other devices too).

Thanks!

Hmm, it's not listed on the IDW site for pre-ordering.

Anyone has any idea where I can find/order those comics in/to Poland?

I heard they were available on iTunes for download.. Is it like PDF or CBR/CBZ?

Aw just found a few pages preview somewhere and got so disappointed to see its actually a manga and not a real comic... (where everyone is goofy like in comedy cartoon and makes unreal deformed alien face expressions in every appearance, besides the teenage hidden super-power-magic story focus =/)

Waiting to see if any real DAO comic comes around some day.. Would be so awesome...

These are definitely not manga, not sure what previews you've been looking at.. the art style is interesting (not the style you'd expect, probably) but the characters definitely have Western features and expressions.

The first issue quickly sold out my local comic shop and now I'm waiting for the trade paperback. I'm too impatient.
