 I downloaded several of the game add-ons; and now I can't even find them on my computer and there not working in the game. I noticed they were all .exe files I saved them. Should I have run them? Now I can't re-download them as when I get to the screen to download again it just freezes please help.

You need to open the executeable file. It's an installer that will install the DLC on your system.
