from 1.04

how do i do that as 1.04 is the worst patch i have ever used to any game, 1.04 causes the game to crash for no reason while 1.02 was 100% perfect and never crached, very stable
now if you alt tab the game crash 50% of the time, which was NEVER EVER with vanilla and up to 1.02, i was dumb to think a newer patch must fix thing but all it did was to make dragon age almost impossible to play

will it mess up the saves by downgrading and how do i do it ?

Downgrading may or may not break your save. I know for certain that you won't be able to use certain DLC items that require patches higher than 1.03 if you're using them in Origins.

The only way to downgrade is to back up your saved games and uninstall the game and reinstalling everything again, only patching to 1.02a/b.

In my experience, this process doesn't break your saves. It would be a good idea to unequip all items and save the game before uninstalling/reinstalling, just to be safe, but I can't think of any specific pitfalls.

And yes, it is necessary to completely remove and reinstall the game to update the game only to 1.02a. Be sure you don't accidentally delete your saves.

Are you sure the cause of the crashes is the game patch and not say Video Card drivers or Windows updates, or just a new playstyle (playing my Arcane Warrior with all of his running effects crashed the game once every hour almost, multiple grenade explosions did this to me as well)?

Also, I think some of the DLCs reinstall the patches,

got 7 characters, never been a single crash with 1.02, could sit and alt tab all the time, like when you forget the bridge puzzle, alt tab check google img alt tab back and it crash, before never

also this patch is preventing me from getting the reaver option, in 1.02 you could save before, do what you needed to get bloodmage or what you needed and then load the old save before you did this and you would still have the bloodmage skill, tried with reaver on a good char, saved before the crazy andraste followers, agreed to help them, did it all got the reaver, loaded the old save and was gonna level up sten as a reaver, did not work, meeh

so yea more reasons to get back to 1.02 but there is nothing more annoying than craches

btw did your game crash like that in 1.02 ?

i got dlc witchhunt, lelianas song and the very short golom of amgarmack or how it is spelled, you saying they cant be played with the working patch ?

Those DLC require 1.03 or 1.04. No idea why.
