I played LOTSB with 4 sheps.

2 maleshep where one of them romanced Liara and the other didn't. And 2 femshep where one of them also romanced her and the other didn't (and no, I didn't notice any diffrence in the scenes until I read this topic).

While I didn't ask about her relationship with Feron on the femshep that didn't romance her, I did do it however with the maleshep who didn't have Liara as a LI and she does show an interest towards Feron.

I guess the same applies to Femshep who didn't romance her.

I like her character I am not a fan that posts in her monster thread nor do I get overly involved with the nuances of her romance scene.  I think her story is well done and the same can be said for Jacob, Grunt, Samara, etc... I just don't choose to romance them.

So two different teams worked on it? Its certainly is a shame you guys got the lesser quality of the two, would love bioware to comment..

I do find it very odd that Liara doesn't smile when she says "I'm open to suggestions", or she doesn't weep after the SB battle, and frankly I would love an explanation from the devs.



What I think is "ridiculous" is when people start saying "I'm just gonna have to but LotSB down" because of these little issues. The developers worked too hard on this thing and released such an exceptional piece of DLC for people to disregard everything for slight differences. I think it's a shame that a few small issues like these can ruin the entire experience.



I prefer femshep because of superior voice acting, and I think the relationship reconnect with both genders is powerful enough that these issues should not take away anything.

It bugs me less about the crying and more that Liara doesn't smile at femShep. I'd rather she be happy than sad. It's the overall emotional content, though. Sad or happy, Liara is currently more expressive around maleShep. No reason for that. Disappointing for people who don't play maleShep.

I don't know if someone brought up the same idea, but when I mentioned it, I was speculating. The same person could have done both versions, but then the difference between the two would just boggle my mind. Forever.

Yeah, I'm probably being ridiculous, but that's how I feel. 

I've played the dlc 6 times and I do still think it's well done.  I've just lost all desire to play it now.

Ugh, the clipping.  The clipping throughout the entire game is pretty immersion-breaking.  Wrex shoving his entire arm inside his neck always gets me.  As much as I wish otherwise, I don't think those will be fixed any time soon.

I would focus on the technical issues, because it is not universal that her not crying is seen as less emotional just to you and others who feel the same way.  Others have voiced that they feel the not crying is more powerful.

Now as to fixing the clipping and the lip sync issues that should be the focus.  That and the sobbing sound or no sobbing sound it should be the same for both.

I agree, what I was trying to say was that this thread was getting away from that, whatever somebody's argument was.

I honestly can't think of a logical alternative other than the "developers just missed something", except on the non-smile by Liara. That one is a little more curious.

It's not a bug, the scene has 2 eniterly different animations written for it and different sound.

My guess based on the track record of other bugs/gaffes/graphical glitches is never.



But hopefully it can be avoided in future DLC and the sequel.
