different regions with physical games

Hi

I have bought the physical games. The first DA:O in europe and awakening in USA.

When i try to play awakening, it says i need to insert the DO:A disc, but when i do this i return to the normal playstation menu.

I have searched to forums for answer on this, but can only find some to people who have downloaded the expansion, and they don't seem to work.

Anyone got any ideas?

Sorry to tell you mate, but there is no answer - it simply will never work.

Because of Sony's stupid and unfair decision to make Awakenings download only in certain territories, there is no way to make a US Awakenings disc work with an Origins disc from elsewhere.

I live in Australia and had the exact same thing happen. The discs need to be the same region.

The only way to do it is to get a US copy of Origins to go with the US Awakenings. Of course this means that you'll have to start Origins over from scratch as well because your European region Origins save files won't work with the US disc.

It really sucks doesn't it.
