Well, there was few instances in DAO where sex could be used as bargain token, not necessarily succesful (Redcliffe and obtaining duelist spec comes to mind)Marionetten wrote...
I'd definitely enjoy seeing spicier persuasion options. Persuasion was oh so boring in Dragon Age: Origins.
That said, if such options are put in the game they should be actually taken to logical conclusion

Yep thats how Fallout 2 worked.
Luckily it was pointless because most of them were only for a female character, and you could just kill that drug dealer early on in the first nearby major town and score a **** load of quality weapons that would make whatever paths opened by such silly acts pointless as there were really just quite minor and silly compared to what else was offered in that game.
Granted I always played as a Male in Fallout 2, but I don't see myself whoring myself out in that game if I played as a female.
EDIT: I also remember the back of the box promoting the feature of "pimping" out your wife. I suppose that was suppose to be edgy, but personally I thought it was unintentionally humerous "We're not laughing with you we are laughing at you."

Where did you hear that? You shouldn't listen to what people say.

Pimping out my wife sounds like alot of work and cause for a whole new level of nagging I don't even want to consider going through. So I'm all about the sten-style "No." Also, I'm the type that gets upset when Morrigan propostions the damn Templar and Sten. Thats why I have a tendency to sacrifice points/skills to cunning and coercion in every playthrough... I don't want anyone falling onto swords, that are not actual swords, for me.
That and I couldn't believe it worked seducing that one guard in Denerim that was guarding me and Alistair when I "gave myself up" when rescuing Anora. I was playing my NHM warden... I was like, "damn this guard must dream about this or something".

I hope they don't tease us with fade to black. I want to see everything, even if they were a little awkward in DAO.
I am not a fan of overt sexuality in the games romances (see Dragon Age Mods which make sex scenes very explicit) but honestly I wish rather then like DAO or Mass Effect 2 they should make sex scenes more like Mass Effect 1. The characters actually were obviously naked (as opposed to the wierd underwear gyrations) but it was still very clean and very classy. Thats the feeling they should shoot for, if they make it too explicit the romance is taken away and it just feels like watching cheap porn, on the otherhand if they're is underwear and obvious clothing issues it takes away from the reality of the scene.
Sex is the pinacle of a romance, it can help draw a deep sense of connection between the characters when done tastefully.
Mass Effect 1 had the perfect balance IMO. Though honestly, I would rather have implied "fade-to-black" scenarios ala Fallout 3/The Witcher, than the nonsense we saw in ME2. Although ironically my favorite scene is still Jack's "romance sex scene" due to how touching it was seeing her vulnerable and cry.
I'd actually rather see more romances like that, where there's actual emotion involved rather than just a reward scene as the OP mentioned. I would like to see romances actually affect storylines more and have consequences. Think of Maric's short-lived but heavily consequence-laden romances with Katriel and Fiona.

That was not the only instance, there was a lot more of it. But i am not going to throw spoilers around here, except the fact, that its true and you could get wife/husband in one of the 'small towns along the road.' I guess something like that could be made into DA2 as well, if it was to be more open and it would`t be forced on anyone - yet you could gain a companion or 'trouble' like that.
And i am not sure about husband, since with both playtrghous as male and female i had only 'wife'(yes, her father almost got a heart attack on morrning when he found us, as female) , but you could let her do porn and make money like that, if you don`t got - 'stats' for it.
It simply all was but an option, it was never forced on anyone, and you could play whole game like Terminator, killing everything in your path and completely ignoring things like this. The same way i meant to suggest its implementation to DA2, where it would`t be forced on anyone, but would be just another option, that could be there if you lack some other attributes or skills.

I like the idea, you could be like Casanova or Cleopatra, using your looks to get into places otherwise unreachable, or gain information with seducing people, heck this would even make it interesting to play as a "medieval James Bond". This is actually a cool idea on how a mature rated game could introduce sexuality and eroticism without it feeling forced
Using feminine wiles to get past guards. I like.

Its childish and ridiculous.
I mean honestly.
I am sure that most of the folk who want this want it as an addition, an interesting option (using sex as a weapon), which adds to the games realism.
You can already brutally hack off someones head and watch it go flying (complete with gush of blood as it does so) in Dragon Age I dont see any of you objecting to that?
IMO brutalling chopping someone up is MUCH MUCH worse than having sex with someone, or seeing someone have sex. You are assuming that these people who want to see sex, and nakedness, in Dragon Age have little to no sense of reality. If thats true dont you think its more dangerous to have such violence and gore in the game than having sex in?
I mean if they have as little a grip on reality as you people who use the "omg so sad to want video game sex" arguement are insinuating then dont you think they might end up buying a sword and running around chopping peoples heads off for s**ts n giggles?
Okay its a ridiculous example but you get my point that its a ridiculous and insulting arguement to use against it.
If you want to argue against it use REAL reasons instead of stupid immature ridiculous arguements that only cause trolling and get a thread shut.
Say that you dont want it included because you feel uncomfortable with having sex shoved in your face cos you feel that it is something thats private between two people who love each other.
Say that you feel the game is already "mature" enough and any more "adult content" might raise the game too high and it might not get its rating from the ESRB (or PEGI or BBFC).
I personally didnt particularily like how sex in F1/F2 was handled. Though the concept is certainly realistic; and was done better than in Fallout 3 *vomit*.
I would rather Dragon Age find its own way on this point.

I'd love the option but would probably never take it.
Honestly though I would have loved if Leli had behaved like this or if the charms she'd developed as a bard in Orlais been put to use in my favor. Oh well, there's always fanfiction.

Graphic novels can feature sex, its to be expected, they're graphic.
Movies can feature sex, cause they can be R-rated.
Video games can't feature sex, or nudity, or anything like that cause we all know adults don't play video games, and video games don't utilize story, and as a medium they are incapable of dealing with adult issues...
Someone better tell the people at Bioware about this. They're breaking all the rules.

It's a double standard and a pretty glaringly stupid one but if it makes you feel any better, the Moral Majority and Mothers of America would nuder any medium for expression.
Why people keep telling me I'm living vicariously through a video game avatar I don't get. If I were, would I really be playing this? I mean, given just how many games devoted to sex there are out there and the people into role playing, does this seem like a good way for me to live out my fantasies?
