For anyone who has Planescape Torment 4, 2 or 1 disk there's an excellent patching guide here to enable you to play it once more in a higher resolution:

I haven't found it yet, but I do know there is a widescreen mod that can be used, so perhaaps there's also a patching guide for it.

EasyTutu allows you to play BG at a higher resolution.  Requires BG2 also.

That one fell by the wayside unfortunately. The mods updated but this megamod installer did not.

However, it did point me to some other stuff:

This looks like it applies all the features of BG2 to BG1. There are forums with lots of stuff in them. But the BG community seems to have all sorts of things all over the place so it isn't as easy to navigate and figure out:

As for widescreen mod, I believe the mod in the PS:T link you provided works for both games.

Thanks for the links. I'll check yhem out when I have a bit more time. I'm having a problem at the moment with jerky character animations on Planescape. I'll post message on the BG forum to see if they can help. I'm in Sigil at the moment giving thugs a hard time.

I replayed BG II recently. while I find the res mod useful for those that wish to have it, I must say that my eyez hurt while trying to play with it, you can barely see anything. The "old" resolutions are imo the most fit for purpose.
