[Tutorial] Custom World Map in standalone add-ins

I have posted Part 1 of a working World Map Tutorial over at my blog. I know a lot of people have had issues getting a custom image into the game as a world map and hopefully, some of them are still around to go through the above tutorial and post feedback on things that need better explanation or are incorrect.
NOTE: I have this working in-game so it definitely works B)

Part 2 will contain information on the various events that tie in to the World Transition and opportunities for customization, custom handling, etc and will be heavily script-oriented.

Once that is done and the tutorial is complete in a cohesive manner, I will update the Map Tutorial on the wiki.

Nice work! I'm still on the fence about if I will be using a worldmap, but if I do, it's nice to know someone did the hard work already Image IPB

Fantastic! Working music, working world maps, working companion interjections... all the pieces are coming together to actually be able to make fully functional standalone modules! Now I just want to be able to spend all day in front of the toolset!

I assume that this can be applied to modding Awakening as well; I'm sure there are a few modders that would like to add more content to it as well.

The basic steps as I've outlined so far should work for displaying the map in Awakening too. However, for it to actually transition and do stuff, there might be other Event handling required. I will see if I can cover this in the next part.

I've got a basic Awakening map in the toolset now; I can post a better version once I've figured out the trails and such.

Part 2 of the World Map Tutorial is now up - detailing the event flow behind world map usage. It also lists some of the common and special-case actions that are handled in certain events and some ideas for customizations/changes.
