I'm sure this has been asked before, but I didn't feel like digging or scanning threads and forums.
In terms of storytelling, after I finish Origins, what would be the recommended way of handling the dlc and Awakening expansion?
Should I get all the dlc first, and then purchase Awakening, or vice-versa?
Thank you ahead for any answers.
I'm confused about the chronological order of things.

ideal order is getting awakening first then the other dlc. Try leave witch hunt the last because is the moment wich concludes the story

Well some dlcs become part of DAO so it would be better to get them and use them before going to awakening. warden's keep has a storage chest. I wish I had that DLC before I had awakening.
Also the stone prisoner (although I think most people have this with their game?) is a part of DAO and gives you the chance to play with a new character.
Return to ostagar is also part of DAO and offers some conclusions to some things.
After than there is golems of amgarrak. That dlc has some rather challenging battles so it would be best to try it with a character who has finished awakening.
Also other DLCs which are stand alone, once you played them they offer bonuses which are then applied to your DAO game (such as leliana's song)
And then of course WH is the finishing touch to everything and should be played last.

What Acharnae said.
Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar to be played DURING DA:O,
Then Awakenings.
Then Golems of Anorak.
Witch Hunt last.
Leliana's Song is a stand-alone to be played whenever you like (it's a prequel, so you might want to do it first as it does unlock some tasty equipment), and so is Darkspawn Chronicles which just offers an alternate ending for DA:O, so do it any time after Origins (if at all, as it's easily the worst of the DLC, apparently. I've not played it...)
