I already have the collector's edition. With this in mind, will there be any way to buy this version, add only the DLC I don't already have to my account, and then give the redundant main game and DLC to someone else? Or is the duplicated content essentially wasted if I add the ultimate edition dlc to my account?

A few select things from stone prisoner import(the helm comes to mind)
To be safe assume...if its in a dlc put out before awakenings...it does not import(RTO being a big exception)

They might fix that for the UE. That's why I was asking.

I doubt it....they would literaly have to implement items that didn't exist in awakening....and some would conflict with others like the Warden's Keep armor and the Sentinel armor making the sentinel armor appear like the Warden Commander armor. I'd rather they just fixed what bugs and glitches there are now without creating others.
The awakening items are much better anyway so I'm not broken up about not bringing in DAO stuff.

All I want is a confirmation or denial for that.
I doubt we'll see any confirmation because if they did fix stuff and aren't releasing a patch for everyone that already bought everything there will be a ****storm. Likewise if they didn't fix anything there will also be a ****storm so the best they can do at the moment is stay quiet on the issue regarding fixes and hope nobody notices.

None of my local retailers like Game or EB Games know anything about this coming out & I'm a bit worried we're going to get shafted again in Australia like we were with Awakenings (being download only).
Anybody know?

Can anyone confirm if this is going to be available on retail disc in PAL territories?

It is up for preorder here in the UK in all the major shops (HMV, Game etc.) and in PAL format, so I wouldnt worry, im sure Australia will get it too, being quite a big item.

no promo and collector's items? and exclusives?
Why?
and blood dragon armor?
Blood Dragon Armor is there. But there's some legal baggage for the other items as they are exclusive to those respective promotions which we can't get around, sorry.
If we have access to promo and collector's items on another platform, will those cross-over via our bioware account? I have collector's edition, and pre-order bonuses, for Xbox 360 because I have DA for that platform. Will I have access to those on the PC as I have already tied it to my account?

Regarding the wait on DAO 2 until the UE comes out, that is just crazy, I seriously doubt anyone would do that, especially since it is not a guarantee. Me, I will be buying the game, but I will be buying the Collectors Edition of DAO2. I only hope the DAO2 CE is as great as the DAO CE was. I'm talking about the Hardcover Guide, The extra in game items that came with it, plus the Extra DVD on the making of plus more. IMO, The DAO CE was the BEST CE I have ever had for a game, well ME2 was about tie with it, but looking back, it was in a class of its own and I hope they repeat it....................

Prediction (just watch):Gunny5821 wrote...
So are the DLC's going to be incorporated into the game already? Meaning they will be internal game quests, opposed to being a separate out of game quests. If they are built into the game, along with all of the other goodies we all got (well not everyone, but the die hards did) when DAO launched, it may indeed be worthy of a look. If not, than why would someone like us who have everything want to even think about buying the game?
Not going to be any more "built-in" than the current way to access the DLCs: TSP, RtO, and WK will be initiated the way they are now, by talking to certain characters or visiting certain (new) map locations in-game. LS, GoA, and WH are completely seperate, started from the "Other Campaign" Main Menu option. (As will be, I assume, "The DLC Which Must Not Be Named".)
Oh, and no "UE-specific" patches or fixes either...
(Well, besides the fact that there's no such thing as "DAO 2", so presume you meant DA2 ) I agree there is no "wait" on one for the other. DA2's probable release date had been fairly accurately known for quite a while, and was officailly announced over a month ago. Nothing is "waiting" on it, or it waiting for anything else.Gunny5821 wrote...

Don't look for any "UE-specific" patches or fixes. Any code re-writes will be available for one-and-all the usual way.Cerberus Commando wrote...
Will the ultimate edition include all of the ULTIMATE BUGS like the regular editions??????!!!!!! Which pisses me off a lot!!! I hope dragon age 2 dosent have a BUG infestation problem like the first part! Geez! I love dragon age but god, come on! Too much bugs! Grr!!!!!!!!! Rrrrrraaaaaaaahhhhh!
IF (big "if") there is a 1.05 patch before RTM, then I presume it'll be included in UE. Else, same as the current version.

Now my question is…if this is to give a rebate to the customers….does that mean that the dlc purchase page that is online will have dirt cheap prices now?
After all, you would expect to have a discount on the dlc’s from now on….
Does that make sense?

So far from what i read there is nothing worth it in this edition except the price..it is just a gimmick in hopes to cash in for the holiday season, i guess they hope that many people would buy this as a gift for another person to give to...which is not bad but other than that ....there is no incentive ( that i know of ) to buy this.
I could burn all my stuff to a few dvd's myself or put all of this on some usb key and call it the super duper flim flam edition and no one would care....and it would amount to the same thing as there so called "ultimate edition"....so there is no point....honestly....
Usually in movies , if they offer a different edition like director's cut....they would extend with more content...which is not the case here....
