I was thinking about getting the UE for PC (Currently have the ps3 one). Does this mean I HAVE to be connected to the internet in order to play it on the PC even after you have the dlc downloaded and such? Or am I just missreading it?

Ultimate Edition is only a box packaging of everything we've released to
date - there is no additional 'new' content or fixes done exclusively
for it. Thus any future patches will apply to all versions of Origins,
incl UE.
The only online 'requirement' is on PC only, to register the DLC code
here on social and then you need to login once in the game so the game
knows your account has these registered. After that you can play
offline if you wish. This is necessary so the DLCs get added correctly
to your account, and ensure in the future should you ever need to
re-install the DLCs you can grab them from your entitlements page here,
as with any other DLC so far on PC.
For consoles, there is NO online requirement. You play from the discs.
We are including a code to give you Blood Dragon Armor on ME2, like we
did whe Origins first came out - which you redeem here on social if you
want - but it has no impact on your DA game.

Previous saves work fine - Ultimate Edition
IS the same game, just with all the other additional content. Neither it, nor your save games will know the difference.
We will be releasing PC digitaly with a variety of partners, including steam.
Retailers in each territory (yes, including in our own backyard, deep in the nether regions of the north american continent) decide what titles they take when to push game info to their stores - we'll have the Ultimate Edition up here in Canada, but there's no way for us to know which stores or when they'll get their internal updates from their head office. Our suggestion has always been to keep harrassing your local shop (politely, of course)

Street date is still set for the 26th here in north america - where retail releases happen on tuesdays. Europe is usually thursday or friday, depending on the country.
