What about the lions paw, bregans bow, and the other preorder items?

Eh...if anything shoving all this stuff into one big Ultimate Edition means when DA2 comes out I may just hold out for the inevitable Ultimate edition there.

Or you could buy DA2 but not any of the DLC for it so you get to play the original game. Then a year later you can buy the ultimate edition which will probably still be a discount on all 7/8 DLC or even expansion packages.

OR you could not buy it when it comes out, wait for the "ultimate" edition and save even more money. And neves... just in case the patching gets screwed up again.;)

At least that's my plan if EA / BioWare stick with DLC-ing their games to shreds.
If there's a bundle without Origins itself and a bloody patch making the game work properly again under Win7 I'd probably buy that.

Yeah, you could but don't you want to play Dragon Age II when it first comes out? I do. I bought most the DLC when it came out too, though I probably won't do that with DA2. The vanilla game itself is, in my opinion, probably worth buying in March if I go on past BW games quality. I too am annoyed at how companies are treating DLC since it started this gen, but hopefully it will be corrected soon. Hopefully.

The DLC will be on the disc. I know that Feast Day gifts/pranks are a part of the Ultimate Edition, and will find out whether the Blood Dragon armor and any other items are included.

Cool.

I didn't want to buy the PS3 version =D

Wow, what a coincidence. Just today at work I was thinking how cool it would be if Bioware made a specail edition of DA:O with all DLC included. And saw this as soon as i got home! :o

I think ill trade in my copies of Orgins and Awakening...

So, pre-ordered it for PC... I just hope it includes the Blood Dragon Armor as well. I hate incomplete 'complete editions' :P

I have a question for Victor if I may.

Will the DLC items transfer problem be fixed for the ultimate edition?

Thanks

If we choose to do that, don't we also "give away" our online account here?

Hmm...good point. <_< Think Bioware could jusy release another disk with just the dlc? Would also be nice for there to be a little menu at the start where we can check off the DLC we already have so it doesnt install it twice and screw everything up.

Vanilla game worth full-price purchase? Quite likely.
Will it be ruined for me when they release half a dozen DLCs that are gonna be imported to DA3? Hell yeah!
DLC boycott mode = ON
And since I know from experience that buying games only once they have dropped in price significantly is quite a fulfilling way to go, I'll probably re-commence doing so.

What problems? You mean the items not transferring into Awakening? It's been stated multiple times that it's intended. Though we know that's somewhat dodgy. Doesn't matter though, according to them it works as it should.

Give this one up.

I must be just dozy but I actually don't know what you are referring to? Is that only with the PC version?

I already have the festday DLC as well as all the other DLCs that were for sale. What I am missing is a bunch of the preorder bonuses of DAO and Awakening so unless BioWare announces that all preorder items and the Bulwark of the True King in the 360 version and all the other in-game items obtainable from all other sources are included I'm not buying. Then you have to fix the Dwarf Noble origin not to loose all the items and fix the Sentinel armor and Vigilance sword to display the proper textures.

If BioWare does all that I'm buying, if not they can forget about it. I want the 100% COMPLETE game NOT the 95% complete version nor the 99.99999% complete version.....either it has everything and I buy or it doesn't and I don't .....and that means that I will also be able to see all the items propperly and no bug is going to screw me out of my items no matter what.

I haven't given it a try yet, but I've heard good things about it so I was planning on buying the game soon, and with the announcement of this edition I have even more incentive.  I too just hope that the Blood Dragon Armor for ME2 is included; I have all the other DLC for Mass Effect 2 and would like to finish my collection with the Blood Dragon armor and it'd be a bummer to have to buy the regular edition just for that.

The retail DLC is already all included on the disc of the Ultimate Edition so that won't be used. As for all the preorder and bonus items from other places.....let's hope not.....those should be on the game disc as well so we should NOT have to use the downloaded versions of those items.

No, with all of them. I Already have Shale, Blood dragon and Awakening. I dont want to have to install them again and possibly mess up the game.

I'm really amazed at the negative feedback to this. It doesn't take away from those of us who did buy DA:O day one. I've already bought Awakening and most of the DLC, this is just a great deal for those who haven't had a chance to try this game yet. It's not like Bioware had a meeting where they decided; "Let's release some DLC, and THEN re-release the entire game and it's add-ons at a reduced price a year later!"

If this makes you want to wait on the off-chance they do this again for DA2, more power too you. But they aren't hurting any of us that have been following the game and buying the add-ons once they come out. ..Oh wait, I'm on the internet. Of course they did this solely to spit in the consumer's face.

I would have thought Bioware doing the scripting in patch 1.04 to make the Grey Warden Armor that the Orlesian Warden's have the default if you imported a character that had one of the "non-transferable" armors on would have given people a clue; I guess it didn't.

I don't care if I have to install it again, I just want to keep my Collector's Edition DLC without having to waste bandwidth downloading the game through Steam again.

I must say I originally not a fan much of dragon age. But now with this awesome deal out I am very tempted to pick it up for a reasonable price of either 60$ or 50$s.

Should I go PC or XBOX360

PC is definitely better assuming you've got the hardware.

360 more convenient but definitely not as smooth or graphically detailed. No camera zoom in/out control and the spell targeting system is a little funky. Works alright.

Go PC if you can I would say.
