they say that pc version has two Shale DLCs.
Fernando said in another thread that they are looking into this issue.
It's my belief that EA's UK publishing house screwed something up in the publishing, since this problem seems to only be plaguing UK region copies.
I don't seem to have that problem. (Xbox 360 version)

I want to buy through steam because it is a little cheaper (about $10), but I think EA will get the best of me and I'll buy it through EA store... =/

The DLCs appear as a seperate option on the disc from the PS3 XMB (ie. you pop the disc in - it appears as 2 discs on the XMB - one for DA:O one for all the DLC).
The game reinstalls all the game content onto the harddrive - so it's completely ignored the existing DA:O install I already have - and the DLCs I have already bought. (You couldn't buy Awakenings on disc for PS3 in the UK before the UE - so that's the main reason I bought it..)
If anyone has any questions about DA:O UE for PS3 please just post here and I'll try to help.

- not directly sold by amazon.de for instance
(only via amazon marketplace wich means import taxes
plus xxl reseller profits plus currency costs, english
pound -> euro)
- german retailers = epic fail.

Trophies from DA:O carry over to UE - no fear!
Disc appears as 'Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition' when in the drive.
'Feastday Pranks' and 'Feastday Gifts' don't appear to have been included on the UE disc.
'Return to Ostagar' doesn't seem to install properly from the disc. It appears on the download list but doesn't mark itself as 'Downloaded' in the download list.
The PS3 version doesn't come with codes for the DLC to register them for your account - they just simply install from the disc. The issue with this is that there is no way of registering them on your Social Network profile, from what I can see.

Uh Yes I would think so. It includes the base game, the expansion, and all DLC packs (it's SUPPOSED to also have the Feastday packs too, that seems to be another issue). Maybe Bioware can comment on that?
Yes, I should've been clearer - it is definitely there and your old saves will work from the new disc too. Functionally, playing the game is exactly the same.

I dont know about others but my ps3 version has them. its labeled as the combo pack and on the xmb if i remember right. Bt on the download section on the main menu it says as not downloaded but individualy the pranks and feast have been downloaded as it should say downloaded next to the items. There was a post on a here that says the combopack never goes away from the available download section

Yes, that is also true - I just checked that.
The 'Combo Pack' is on the disc and can be installed from there - and in the in-game download list the individual items are indeed downloaded and installed. (Though the combination item is listed but not marked as installed. Slightly confusing.)
The RTO pack appears on the disc as an item to be installed - but it doesn't seem to work - when you install it doesn't mark it as 'Downloaded' in the in-game download list.
Sorry, for repeating information - but I wanted this to be absolutely clear for everyone. (and for Bioware)

I have the game installed in my PC. If I buy this version how do I proceed with installation? What about my character? can I import it to the new game?

It's a collection, it functions no differently to the Origins everyone else has.

OK, so if I bought the ultimate version and I wanted to sell my original version, coul dI simply unregister the serial number and register a new serial number (of the ultimate) and still run the game over the old installation and simply install the rest f the stuff that was missing (awakening, missing DLC since I have a few things)?
Please explain me how to proceed....Thanks

No, I don't think you can, as that old one is already registered to you, so anything you got from it, no one else could get. Just simply register the new DLC activation code to your account. Personally I would backup any saves you want to use or keep, completely uninstall DAO as you have it now, then reinstall from ultimate, and place your saves back in place, as long as those saves are compatible with DA version 1.04, you're fine. Reinstall any add-ons or mods you were using (with the same caveat as above) and continue playing if you want. You really can't sell your old one (or you can, but no one should buy it from you if they understand how DA works). I personally bought the original collector's edition, and STILL bought this, because it's only 5 bucks more than buying all the DLC I don't own, and my collector'd edition stuff will still work.
Hopefully this helps.

To recap a couple things players have pointed out so far:
- Some players purchasing from EA Store have not been able to activate
. This is being worked on. For now, please contact EA Support and they will be able to correct this for you manually.
- Players unable to register UE here on social
. This has now been fixed - please give it another try
- Some players reporting unauthorized dlc
. This is likely some of the known DA updater issues, please view the PC tech support thread which has details for confirming if this is working for you and how to fix this depending on the cause
. One possible cause is uninstalling a previous version of Origins and re-installing UE in another location and the updater service still thinks it is in the previos install location (again, please follow the thread on the PC support forum here on social)

Basically, I just want to know if it's both possible and legal to gift my old copy of Origins to a friend, like Half-Life 2 owners could do with The Orange Box. I have a Steam DDE copy of Origins, and I know that registering the CD key on the EA Store would allow me to download another copy from there. Once I get a copy of the Ultimate Edition for myself, can I deregister my copy of Origins from the EA website and give its CD key to a friend so he can download a copy from the EA Store? Just to clarify, I know I can't deregister the game from my Steam account, and I don't want to do this if it's against official policy.
EDIT: Being a complete idiot, I totally missed Rayne Myria Solo's post above. Please disregard this post, sorry.

No there isn't anything new on it. It's simply a collection of everything.
