I already own all the DLC's and awakening, and as said above only bought this edition to have the DLCs on disc.... huh i was wrong. So basically I have just bought DA:O, DA:OA, and a bunch of buggy downloads, just like i had in the first place...............Sort it out bioware.
Oh and i only have until June to redeem the code, so what happens EA if i want to put the game away and save it for a while, i dont have the peace of mind knowing that all the content is safly on disc. Why not just put a unlock key on the disc?.... this is just lame attempt at making people join the site EA can get your email address... You are loosing a customer in me.
On a final note, i know this isnt Biowares fault, its mainly EA!

Like you got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!! Im not happy at all. I hate the downloads, they never work for me, i just got unauthorised... I thought the DLC was on the discs and didnt require any online interaction. What would happen if i was new to DA and had no internet connection... They havent considered that.

Thank you thank you thank you. I was going to buy the PC UE for the same reason, and now I'm glad I didn't.

You're welcome :-). Some say the DLC is on the disc,( i cant find DLC on the PC discs anywhere! But the games manual states its on the disc also) ....
.....BUT either way, whether the DLC is on disc or not, you still need to go online to unlock it and even then most people cant play on it (the dreaded Unauthorised Content issue), as you can probably tell from this thread.
EA, Why couldnt we just have all the content on disc, and it all work in sync as ONE big game... Like the Game Of Year Editions of Fallout 3 and Oblivion etc..

I've contacted EA support, and they just told me how to reset my DLC.. so I do.. now only my collectors pre-order DLC is showing up.. saying for all the other DLCs that come with the ultimate edition, I have to buy them! Well sorry Bioware, I'm not going to do that! Sort it out please! I want to finish DA before DA2..
I've been struggling ever since this problem arose to even log in to my Bioware community account.. I can't even view my profile or registered game promos. I'm pretty steaming atm because I set aside time to play.. ¬_¬''. I live in hope that this will get sorted ASAP. We shall see..
*edit* Well I sorted the unauthorised rubbish - I missed the rather misleading voucher inside the DVD box. It looks like Mass Effect 2 Advertising for redeeming the Blood Dragon Armour, when in fact it's the promo code for all the DLC that's installed off the DVD. *sigh* panic over..

I guess I'm not getting the Ultimate Edition after all... I have everything as well, but would have liked everything on disc... without the need to download or authorize stuff over the internet... once a edition comes out that doesn't require online authorization and everything on disc let me know.

I'm on the PC, have a retail disc install of DA:O and DA:A, with ALL the DLC (well, except "The DLC Which Must Not Be Named") and I don't have to be "on-line" to play. Everything is on my HDD, and after the one-time d/l (which is NOT needed for the UE) and "authorization", I haven't needed to communicate with BioWare/EA at all.

The only thing that's "on-line" is the submission of the authorization code printed on the voucher in the box.
How many times can the BioWare staff post that same information IN THIS THREAD? If you filter the topic to display only BioWare posts, I think it's there FOUR TIMES.
It's on the disc!

This is a known screw-up by the UK publisher of the PS3 discs. (For the 3rd time today, see the posts in this thread by the BioWare staff.) Confident they'll make it right.SandvichMan wrote...

I can see patch 1.04 is included, but is that version 1.1 of Witch Hunt, or would I still need to install that? I just received my new copy yesterday.
For PC it is 1.1 of WH. For consoles the fix was after the disc cutoff so you'll need to connect once online to grab the latest patch/title update to get the fix.

I'm sorry for asking again but you said: "The PC & X360 version has English VO, and English, Spanish & Italian subtitles."
Do you mean USA version, UK version or both of them?
Thanks.
Both - there is essentially only 1 PC version (as above).
Thandal pretty much covered the rest.

1. Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age Origins Awakening each have their own disc, in which you do not need to be connected to the internet for any reason, with 1.4 Patch included.
2. DLC on disc. Is there a third disc for DLC or is it added into the awakening disc? Either way, all 9 DLC is on disc, but DOES need the internet in order to play them. Is that correct?
Why then are so many people having trouble with this?

As I said above, either way, if the DLC is on the disc or not, im not happy that you have to authorise them online, and many of us are still getting the "Unauthorised content" issues when we try and play the game.

No thrid disc, just two. Though the DLC is supposed to be on there (maybe disc 2 i guess), but you need to interact with biowares server to authorise your DLC. (So internet connection is requiered to actitivate your DLC).night0205 wrote...
